Yes, NiT GriT is the shit, thanks to IdrA for bringing it to the masses. However, rap is way better. I know lotta people be disagreein with me, but that's only cause they don't know shit about it. You think what's poppin on the radio nowadays is rap- You couldn't be more wrong. Rap is the most heart-felt and realest music out there! I know noone is gonna check it out I'm gonna post a vid nonetheless. Wu-Tang, Non Phixion, Immortal Technique, Busta Rhymes and many more are great artists everyone should know about. Lil Wayne, 50c, eminem, snoop dog and all those thugs can go suck a dick.
Hip-hop sounding like shit is very subjective. There are many, many good rappers who write/perform their art at the same level as any other musician. Check out Talib Kweli, Common, and some under ground guys to see this.
On Topic: Dubstep, and NiT GriT has grown on me drastically. At first I couldn't stand it, and now It is one of my favorite type of genres; by far the best (in my opinion) form of electronic.
Wow i just found this thread :D I'm a Dubstep dj from belgium. Atm I only got one mixtape online which is fairly old. Mixing isnt 100% yet and music choice is also a bit primitive. Have a listen at it anyway and tell me what you think. You can also download it ;-) Atm im studying like hell for exams in a few weeks so no recording, but in februari we meant to record some new promo mixing material, so ill post it then here too
btw, when watching idra's stream, in 95% of the cases I know the song :p Could say I have quite some knowledge about dubstep knew 90% of the stuff posted in this thread too..
Nice thread! NiT GriT is awesome! Not as awesome as Liam Howlett in his prime but some nice breakbeats and industrial sounds. Cold, machine sounds. Fits Idra for sure
Also, please dont post songs with auto tune, I hate that shit.

Listening to yours now, it sounds really really impressive. I can't wait for your new stuff to come out in February :D
If you're looking for something new age and a bit dirtier...
UK garage scene is pretty awesome, if you like dub, check out some Jungle/Funky/Bassline/2step and of course, some Grime, which goes together with dubstep like PB and JAM.
