just to confirm what I think is real/fake and what happened. I talked about it with someone at work today and I understand most of what happened now, but I still wouldn't mind seeing it again to catch all the smaller details like why you can't do some things in your dreams, why if they Saito died after getting shot he would have to spend like 50 years in some kind of personal dream world or something, etc. Also, I couldn't hear half of what was said at the end where it reinacts the opening scene with Cobb and Saito, but I'm not sure I would have understood it anyway. Cobb wanted to kill Saito so he could return to reality or something? Was it because Saito died and had to spend 50+ years in another dream like I mentioned before? Did Saito know that? I really didn't catch any of what was said at the end.

I really think he was dreaming. Either way, there's so much you don't pick up on the first time, I recommend seeing it twice, it's a lot of fun to play detective.

I looked through most of these pages. I learned some stuff, but I can safely say that I am now even more confused than before. xd + Show Spoiler + I think that it's interesting to say that reality is the optimist's view of the end, while a dream would be the pessimist's view. Isn't it common to see reality as something hard, bitter, while a dream world to be blissful? The movie really twists this notion. One problem I had towards the end was the deal with limbo. When Mal kills Fischer and Cobb kills Mal, Russian guy thinks that the whole ordeal is over, but Ariande says that they can kick him back. So when they use the machine during the snow dream, did they go into limbo? Cobb says in the movie while they wash onto the beach that it is where Mal and Cobb were trapped for 50 years or whatnot. Fischer was hooked into the device right? We can only assume that the dreamer in the fourth dream, possible limbo, was Cobb. He discovers Fischer who is tied up with Mal. Did he dream this because he cannot control where Fischer goes in his own world? And if the architect had been designing the first three dreams, was she responsible for the layout of this one? I can only assume that she was not. But the problem is Saito, if I recall correctly, was NOT hooked onto the machine. Would that mean that Saito had descended into his own level of limbo? How would Cobb have been able to find him if he was not hooked to the machine? One of my new favorites though. I'm gonna have trouble sleeping for a while. :/

Oh, and having Juno be named Ariadne was a nice touch (helped lead Perseus out of the Minoan labyrinth in Greek mythology). Finally, I really liked how they casted Marion Cotillard as Mal, and had Edith Piaf's Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien play such a big role in the movie. Nice touch :D + Show Spoiler + I am so in love with Joseph Gordon-Levitt right now you have no clue XD

You notice so much shit and it's really fun to watch the movie just looking for cool stuff without the stress of trying to keep up with the plot. + Show Spoiler + I'm also a lot more convinced now that he was dreaming at the end. His children were literally exactly the same, clothes and everything, in that last scene as they were originally. Shit like that just doesn't get overlooked. Also noticed the wedding ring which I was told to look for. (It's there in dreaming scenes, not in real life), though I couldn't see his hand in the final scene.
