yeah but ehome didnt.
i still wouldnt overvalue those wins. they were high tempo steamrolls that caught ehome and secret off guard, probably also due to not so much preparation against mvp. at the same time ehome looks completely terribly and secret was a shaky top 8 contender for this major at best. while mvp looked strong, i dont think they are top 4 material. top 8 might be though.

fnatic practiced for this major hard,imo..they are in china since 15th and scrimming with some chinese teams like ehome ..i think this will provide some good practice for them.

Secret why

Like in Starcraft and LoL, the Korean domination has begun.
There's no turnin back. Everybody will be pining for the time when Euro teams were relevant. Enjoy it while it still lasts, it won't be for long.

it's just different forms of the same 3 or 4 known playstyles that have existed for many years

I hope for a MVP vs VP match-up. There gonna be some blood.

Koreans are rly strong in HotS also. Mvp Black is like maybe top 3 team in the world last time i checked. Chinese are great also.

Well crazy happened but in retrospect I think we should always give MVP Pheonix The Perennial Dark Horse status. The really are that DBZ character who gets a big enough power boost to do something cool enough to form a fan base but never good enough to win it all like Goku.
For the past 3 years they've consistently punched up their weight in a major tournament.

Of course they aren't a clear-cut favorite but you have to mention them when talking about the top spots. Especially because they went 2-0 against both teams.
They could put up a CDEC-esque performance this Major.

They love the blizzard games and whatever they endorsed as esports they always created a competitive scene.

maybe, but the teams they won against are a) not at the absolute top (secret) and b) playing like complete garbage (ehome)
they could also put up a col-esque performance, which would still be impressive though.

Obviously, it's way too early to call but I just wanna get hyped for this major.
