Tsundere is the perfect adjective.

It just didn't happen immediately after Arteezy dc'ed. Is there some sort of delay before gold is distributed?

I'd love to see a teammate abandoning to give buyback money for another teammate used as an actual strat as hfglgg suggested. Or maybe abandon to give a teammate a faster rapier. It seems like it'll only be viable near the end of the game in some sort of base race scenario.

Wrong. I'd say that the Chinese would win when I personally believe it, and I'd personally believe it when the evidence favors their victory. *Cough*MVP3rdplaceTI5*Cough*

Game 1: Ehome came in with their "Eraser" strategy. ppd has settled on this in a few games, but only a few teams had realized how powerful drafting Lion with another Burst Damage Carry truly is. Simply erasing cores from team fights let's you snowball quickly. Also, credit where it was due: that was the perfect Ursa game and I quite appreciate pulling out rare picks in Finals and making them work. Game 2: This is where both teams brought out their actual strategies, and it also (in hindsight) lays the foundation for how old chicken has been drafting. He has a slate of draft types he'll look for after the first few picks are set. (Since Earth Spirit is so damn broken, this makes a lot of sense.) That's why he burned almost his entire reserve time to 2nd pick a Rubick. ppd's draft was actually quite strong, save for 2 errors. Firstly, banning Visage was a mistake. In finals, there is never a "free" ban in the first stage. The second, and this has come up a few times now, is that leaving Sumail on a playmaker Mid leaves EG with so little damage. It works fine against Tier 2 teams, but against Tier 1 teams, you simply need two scaling cores across your 1-3 positions. If Universe is going to play an initiator as well, then you've got to find a lot of damage in Sumail & Arteezy. Ehome's approach to dealing with a Batrider line up is the adjustment everyone else had made: scale to the late game with fairly defensive Cores. It's a bit like how everyone decided to deal with Broodmother or Silencer. (Which is also why the Broodmother ban came out.) EG had a net worth lead until minute 31, actually, and I thought it was a decent game, but I was really concerned about the Sumail Puck because Puck really only works if you have Bulldog on a carry. Oddly enough, Weaver was on the other side, which was a really good pick. Game 3: Mostly because people interact with Earth Spirit in pubs and the way it wrecks the early game, this game is actually an example of how a great team can work around that problem. But then it simply highlights the actually broken part of the Hero: the utterly cancerous high ground defense. Except for that bottom lane ES + Enchantress domination, EG outplayed Ehome for the vast majority of that game. Earth Spirit is just that broken and causes that many problems. Universe was playing out of his mind with some of those brilliant Chronospheres. But a damn hard to break high ground defense eventually let Cty get to Raid Boss mode on Morphling, and that was the game. (Oddly enough, this is how OG beat EG in the group stage, which is why ppd letting the hero through was depressing.) I know why ppd let the Earth Spirit through. But I knew it was a terrible idea the instant he did it. Kaka was 11-1 on the Hero going into this game. There's a reason for that. We saw how good Universe is on Faceless Void, but the cost to get it was just too much. Ehome had to play supremely well to capitalize on the opportunity, but letting them have Earth Spirit was just an unforced error. Yet they almost made it work. Beyond letting Earth Spirit through, it was a really good draft by ppd and actually a pretty bad one by old chicken. The Enchantress was pretty cute and it worked a little, but it was too cute by half. Cty farming into Raid Boss mode is what bailed them out. All in all, congrats to Ehome. They've been the best Chinese team in 6.86 going into this LAN and they played really well at it. Their teamwork was really, really good and old chicken had a collection of strategies that worked to their strengths. They were able to execute and they won the tournament.

Seems like there's a lot of pent up rage for a team that's been their entire scenes daddy for like a year. eg is just an super unlikeable team and has been for years. rtz, sumail, ppd and mason are all players who talk way to much unnecessary shit and have almost no redeeming traits aside from being good at what they do (well except mason, he is just terrible all around). for zai i am not sure if he had more emotions in his life than data in star trek. that leaves eg with 2/7 players i can sympathize with. and thats for someone who sees more of them because he follows the western scene, all the chinese get from them are "ez china" statements. eg is a team that is through and through unlikeable unless you are a fan of them. that they get more hate when things go bad once in a while is totally expected.
