I mean it was obvious EG wanted void and so they had to give ES away ... but ES is kinda good against void, if he doesnt catch him.

So you're saying you haven't seen games where Morphling carries against two opponent carries. And I thought you watch Chinese games.

The absolute irony of your statement is that the only 2 times this arguably happened in this tournament it was Arteezy morph.

Did you watch LGD's games?

You mean LGD vs OG? It was duo core vs duo core with some heavyweight offlaners, so your example is at fault here.

Quas Wex Invoker is not a core.

In this game? LD and Weaver are the duo core against do-little-cause-hero-is-trash puck, countered-to-the-balls bat and morph to pull the weight while being barely even on farm.

Also, Maybe did not play QW voker against Morphling so you're spouting BS at this point.

Makes me think that ppd is just testing out drafts against a top tier chinese team at this point instead of trying to win the game haha

We'll see, maybe they can comeback and with 3 games in a row somehow.

VP already choked once, so i wouldn't be surprised and yeah, i do think pdd is just trying out what works despite repeating same mistakes as against Alliance.

Puck is a fine hero for the first 25 minutes of the game. You must have forgotten that Alliance also plays the hero and destroys with it. The difference is that Universe doesn't play the carries Alliance's off player plays.

Alliance plays the hero as playmaker while having duo farming core, so hero is not that bad. EG had it as a playmaker with another playmaker and a single core.

Yes because Universe doesn't play carries except for Furion. I thought I said that already?

I have seen Universe play a fucking Troll Warlord in 6.81 (or was that 6.80), so you said nothing. It did not end well but for other reasons.

Yes let's use a 6.81 lost game as an example of what Universe plays successfully in professional games.

See someone else's answer, because you're losing this.

It's amazing that you don't see it, but then that's normal I guess, as few people on these boards actually read between the games.

I'll give you a hint: why did PPD keep running Arteezy Lone Druid early on in the tournament? Why didn't he just run Universe Lone Druid every game the way teams that had an off player who could play Lone Druid did? Why did Iceiceice play Lone Druid when he's bad at it? Why is Ehome running it practically every single game?

The answer is simple: because since Alliance's rise in the last two tournaments, in which they destroyed practically every single top team, the hero has become a first pick, and an important first pick. Teams, including PPD's, have tried to insert the hero into their line up, at times force it into their line up, the way VG tried to do, but the only successful way to run it has been from the off player. That's how Alliance does it and that's how Ehome does it.

Hence, teams that aren't able to do this, similar to PPD's in this game, have had to spend a ban on it. That's what PPD tried to avoid in the last few games where he tried to "beat" the hero. He knows the importance of finding a solution to it before the next big tournament.

For those who keep saying: Universe knows how to play it. Prove it. Because I've never seen Universe play it as successfully as the top players.

But srsly, can we get a nerf patch before shanghai pls? Pretty sure we are in a stage where it's clear that about 4 heroes need a small change.

Wow someone finally remembered that Clinkz is a hero, and one that should be very good against a lot of the popular picks now.

Clinkz attack point against Ench is hilarious though.
