I like kills and ganks too, I don't like 5 man deathball tank/push playstyle. You dont have to nerf smokes strengths, but you can make it cost more or be able to buy them less frequently which I think is important because they clearly promote a playstyle that is strongest and I don't really wanna see nothing but 25 minute dota games for a year straight. Draft anything that can deal with the push. What happened to KotL? Seriously, there was some tunnel vision in this years drafting for sure. I thought you were just on the "nerf smoke" side a second ago O.o But I think if it was something you could just draft against, someone would have done it. DK and EG both went down to it, two of the best and most creative draft teams of the year.
EG by definition is not creative at all, especially once Mason entered the line-up. With Fear, totally different story.

Sure the Chinese teams didn't get knocked out by any Western team but people took quite a few games off them, in SC they were/are like untouchable.

I think some people will always complain if the games are one sided, regardless of the style used or the nationality of the team or whatever, which is kind of understandable. The silly part is trying to justify it by blaming the winners, or how they won, for the game being boring, when really it's on their opponents to make it exciting.

Kipsate, you know it's different.
Ethnically or nationally, I don't know any difference between iG, Newbee, or Vici.
Every EU/NA team we have right now is different though.
A Russian team, Ukranian team, Swedish team, German team, hell even LGD.int was very different and multicultural. Maybe it's because I am western I can really differentiate the personalities of even just different NA teams. Like TL, EG, NAVI.US, and C9 are way way different to me.
But I don't know a difference between the Chinese players. There are some that come to mind, like Hao, Rotk, iceiceice, but the 3-4 not very known chinese players... I cannot differentiate it.
I will say though, that at TI4, the chinese teams have been doing a good job at creating an Identity for themselves though, Newbee and Vici especially.

Although it was west vs west. It wasn't really anticlimactic. And even if it was west vs west. It was Ukraine + Estonia + Germany vs Sweden. So it had the international feeling that it gave. unlike this TI4 which is chinese vs chinese . I don' really mind if chinese win or makes it to grand finals every year. As long as it's chinese vs something else so that it feels like a global competition. Not another chinese tournament. That's really my only complain.
Not to mention it was the match most hated team in the world vs the most like team in the world. And the most hated team in the world was a unstoppable juggernaut while na'vi was the only only that looked to beat alliance that time. So it was hyped as fuck.
Seriously that was a really sick story line to follow.

Top Western players are capable of challenging some of the Top Korean players at the peak of SC2; once SC2 died down in the West, the level of competition dropped and Korea pretty much dominated. Right now China has edged out in most of the major match-ups, but a swing in the metagame can easily change things around. In fact, I'd say that contrary to popular opinion, Western teams like EG and c9 have a much better chance of winning in a slower paced metagame then a fast gank/teamfight/push metagame.

So it had the international feeling that it gave. unlike this TI4 which is chinese vs chinese . I don' really mind if chinese win or makes it to grand finals every year. As long as it's chinese vs something else so that it feels like a global competition. Not another chinese tournament. That's really my only complain. Not to mention it was the match most hated team in the world vs the most like team in the world. And the most hated team in the world was a unstoppable juggernaut while na'vi was the only only that looked to beat alliance that time. So it was hyped as fuck.

And Na'Vi always had shittons of haters, especially in glorious CIS community <3.
