Holy fuck I just had a blast Blinking around, fucking everyone up with my stuns. EDIT: And some good keybind setups? I just use QWER / 123456 but I feel there's something more efficient out there. It is all about what works for you. I use a Logitec MX518 so all my inventory keys are on my mouse. I use QWER for skills. I know some Dota 1 players still use legacy keys for skills.

I wanted to use my mouse, but it won't let me use my middle. =/ Currently swapped to V-2-3-4-T-Tab Wish I could use middle mouse though to replace "2" EDIT: Had a great game as ES and went Arcane Boots -> Dagger -> Urn -> Drum -> BKB -> Linkens Thinking I should have skipped the Urn. Totally lost what to do after Dagger. I usually just grab whatever aura items and shit my team doesn't already have, like a Meka instead of Drum if necessary.

Mekansm is awkward because after you Blink->Ult, your positioning might be such that it's hard to Mek all of your teammates. Or you might have to Mek just yourself before its useful for your whole team (Drums doesn't have this problem because you can activate it before you go in). Medallion is often an offensive support item that can be useful. Force Staff is a support item that's good even in multiples. Defensive items aren't a bad idea for ES, like Ghost Scepter, Vitality Booster, Blade Mail, or Planeswalker's Cloak.

Also, ward bitches like veno and venge probably would prefer to eat stuns than force the enemy to stunlock the carry, probably can't afford to buy BKB, and if they get feed past buying just wards/smokes ect, manage to get mek/pipe ect, then also buy another luxury with hp (ie venge and veno ags), then BKB is probably good. But when the hell do you see that ![]()

Items like drums, halberd, sange, armlet are really great and give some great side effects. BKB just happens to give magic immunity which is desirable to pretty much anyone.

Chinese Alchemist doesn't really get BKB either, since Vanguard/Hood/Radiance/Shiva's coupled with his ult (used to be +1050 instead of +900 at level 16) makes him so hard to focus down--but he does a lot of damage at the same time.

Do we want to take down this incredibly tanky Necro that's healing his whole team? Or do we try to take down his teammates that are getting constantly healed? It is the best complementary item for him. Low armor? AC! Low BAT? AC! Acid Spray? AC helps to lower armor even more. :D I think I'm in love. *edit I also love Mjollnir on him for the insane attackspeed

AC is the natural progression after regen-tank-item+radiance+flavor-of-boots since it works so well with his abilities and weaknesses, it's really a no brainer and mjolnir is actually a good item on him too, after at least a platemail. +80 attackspeed and BAT works wonders

Physical hits hurt so damn much with Cuirass.

Other examples would be death prophet, who you can build as a tank and note that her damage output from the ghosts is not affected by whether she is disabled or not, so you don't really need to get BKB. Another example would be heroes like Axe, Centaur and Spectre. You don't want to scare them away from attacking you because you are supposed to tank the damage for the team. These heroes also do not really need the magic immunity due to counter helix, return or dispersion, which can punish the enemy team for focusing you down in a teamfight. Also a hero like Tree maybe, who is again a megatank and doesn't really benefit from BKB. It shouldn't be difficult to get your ultimate off before being disabled.

Doesn't Alchemist have some weird shit where his ult lets him just ignore all CCs during the transformation time? How exactly does that work anyway? I just remembered it looked really funny in DotA 1 to have an Alchemist get knocked up into the air and shackled by Rhasta, but still be running around not giving a fuck.

From the playdota hero page: Chemical rage • Has a 0.35 seconds transformation time. • You can dodge stuns while transforming. Basically you have to time it just right. However, Im not sure if it works in Dota 2. It is not mentioned in the Dota 2 wiki atleast. Something to test out I quess.

Yeah but you have to be spot-on about it. Most of the time it's not worth waiting to pop your ultimate if there's a risk that you'll be chained into oblivion. Better to pop it before engaging and enjoy all the sexiness that ensues.
