Just occurred to me that Matumbaman is going to have to take six months off at some point due to Finland's conscription laws. Wonder how long he can delay it. Any Finns here that have clarity on how that works? P.S. Jerax apparently already did his time. | ||

Don't quote me on this but I think one can delay it till like up to 28-29 years with a good reason, studies or being a professional athlete are proper reasons I think. Delaying it so long i wouldn't personally recommend for anyone as once you're a grown 29 year old man getting locked up with bunch of 19 year olds in a room for at least 6 months and having a 19 year old corporal ordering you around isn't ideal. There's even a special army for professional athletes which takes less of their time so they can focus on the sport, they probably don't include electronic athletes yet. | ||

It's not ideal but its not impossible either.. In Canada, our basic training often has older personnel, some as old as 50 trying to get through. While its much tougher for them, I've had a 48 year old in my platoon who did great and was definitely a leader among the 18 year olds. I felt old at 25 but eh I made it fine. If Finland rules allow it, its not that terrible a situation. Its kinda weird when I had a 22 year old Cpl who was my boss, despite me being 27 but it wasnt a big deal, knowledge is knowledge despite age. | ||
