I don't know anything about Heroes, but I'm kind of confused how you'd ever call Liquid the best SC2 team. They've never been competitive in Korean team leagues and individually I don't think they've even had a top 16 finish at a WCS Global.

MVP.P was not there XD Well, its not just epicenter: they have finished top 3-4 in every event this year (except the rather chaotic captain's draft one), including that second place in the Shanghai Majors, losing only to Secret, a team that is hardly a contender for the title of the best team with the performance they have had after the roster change. And there is also gosu rankings: http://www.gosugamers.net/dota2/rankings

Even OG almost made it ![]() We'll see how things develop at the Major. Yeah. I mean, they're not clearly the best or anything, but they're the team to beat right now so I think it's fair to give them the title. MVP and NewBee are up there too, and then there are a bunch of teams which we have to expect to start playing well soon, so it's no guarantee they'll keep the title after Manilla.

obviously liquid will also be hard pressed to simultaneously pick the most and the least different heroes over the course of the tournament if we were going for accuracy

Liquid should definitely come into manilla as the favorite though, let's see how they do with the extra pressure. MC is the only one I could see it affecting but his play in offline events has improved so much.

I choose to see this as his unwavering faith in Liquid against all odds.
