remember how I was ranting about how Liquid doesn't even get an invite for the Summit and is placed in the same group as Alliance and Empire in the quals?
According to Liquipedia they're not there anymore! So either ragequit for no apparent reason or the guys at the Summit decided to unstupid.

Still kinda surprised they gave that qualifier spot to Ad Finem when there's other teams like Navi and Secret around but who knows what they have planned.

On the panel yesterday Swindle seemed to be making fun of Summit invites and from what I recall Godz made some comment about NaVis fanbase afterwards as if he was hinting at something, not sure if NaVi is actually invited. Though I said before that Summit hasn't had multiple invites in past events, maybe they are doing something different now.

In either case it's clear that they did offer teams like NaVi, Secret, EG and OG to play in their event, so if they are not in the quals it's because they declined or they are invited. NaVi's potential invite could be easily explained by the fact that Summit is an event where they want players who are able to contribute to the streams. They also have a Russian language stream onsite, so they want a CIS team there, and NaVi is the only CIS team invited to Manila so they are first in line.

I'm pretty sure the Navi comment was just a part of the banter between the two, as in after Swindle said "I have fans", Godz said "you know who else has fans? Navi" (as in they're also garbage in Dota and they have fans). I wouldn't read more into it, really.

As for the invites, I doubt BTS would have changed them. These things are settled far in advance and they don't change easily, unless a team that was actually invited decides to drop out themselves. So either that's what happened, or Liquid simply withdrew from The Summit.

Kuro's positioning was just superb. I'd tilt as hell if I were void.

Anyways yeah, what is great is that this team is impossible to figure out. They switched around their movements and strategy specifically for Newbee.

I just wanted to point out here that now officially all members of the TI5 Cloud 9 team (Envy, FATA, Bone, Notail, Misery) have won major tournaments since they disbanded EXCEPT Bone7.

Would be very interesting to hear after TI or so from the players and the coaches what exactly the coaches contributed. What sort of things did the players feel they gained the most in, how much did their ideas about the game or drafting change based on interactions with the coaches, etc.
