And I think that's true, and the team's strength is at fault, and as I have said in aforementioned threads, I'd like to also comment in the appropriate forum - this very fan page. . . . Never in history it happened that a liquid player would be the one to beat, during the Broodwar era, there was the invincible gods the Koreans, even other European clans were stronger. In SC2 era, Liquid finally did recruit Koreans like Hero, but they were always the underdogs, the possible contenders but never the unstoppable force, every victory against strong opposition was greeted by a strong roar by the liquid community. And the Dota team was no different, we grew to love the mediocre spazzy squads that were always capable of taking series from the titans, but also no matter how large their lead was, you always had to worry, and any major series victory was a cause for celebration. . . . Compare it to the new Liquid, ranked #1 in the world by Gosugamers, they are one of the top contenders. Coming in as a favourite into a series against EG, a TI champion, OG and let's face it, pretty much anyone in the Dota world right now people seem to be missing the excitement of standing behind what we are used to stand behind, roaringly cheer what we are used to be cheering for - the loveable hit or miss but capable underdog. The only spazzing this team does is early in the match or especially midgame, only to predictably take the game back in the lategame. And as a liquid diehard, this is very confusing, and it shows in the weak response to this team so far considering it's strenght. I for one hope that liquid starts honouring it's fans and the strong legacy of the brand instead of disrespecting it's history - and finally starts replicating the glorious unpredictable underdog spazzy dark horse vibe that so many previous Liquid teams and players across pro-gaming platforms have shown, and the values on which this strong brand was build. Sincerely, Formed Liquid die hard fan. Summer is coming, a bit of Taeja style dominance would be welcome That's what i first thought reading that post aswell, 2 summers of Taeja, yet he was never the "one to beat" at all those LAN tournaments? | ||
