And to whoever is saying bulldog is great and a top player, no he is not and he's been proving it time and time again. He doesn't make a difference in the game at all.
His earthshaker was so crap, I've seen 3.5k earthshakers do 5x times better than him. Every time he plays clock he also doesn't contribute, hooks in and dies. Literally no effect on the game.
And if you look at his pub games you can see why, now of course you may say he is just having fun in those and not taking it seriously, but he streams for hours, if he doesn't take it seriously for 3-4-5 hours per day when he streams when does he take it seriously?
Pubs are better practice than screams, screams no one is really trying hard, team wise the decision is to hide strats and don't try too hard, so its pub games left that you need to learn and gain experience and become better.
Fucking around for hours in pub games doesn't make you a better player and we are seeing that, when he plays for Alliance he is shit, he hasn't contributed in any significant way to his team winning, all of his plays are useless and bad.
And he isn't the only one playing garbage, but he is most definitely playing the most garbage out of the players. Loda is probably second, he hasn't been able to carry the team since TI3. I haven't seen him dominate in any game, I haven't see him so farmed that he just kills heroes for fun, I haven't seen him be decisive in team fights.
Their whole team looks so out of place and incoherent. Even their drafts even with S4 back are so old school, picking puck when that hero is destroyed in mid by every other hero, picking NP when that hero is garbage, no matter how good you are on that hero, when the hero is garbage and doesn't fit the meta you can't make it work! I kinda agree with you, they don't tryhard as they should if they want to compete at highest levels. The only thing i have to say is: Do they really want to? Looking at their behavior during the week (streaming with noobs and girls/ playing custom maps/ going outside chilling / at events / real life parties ecc.) it looks like they don't give a fuck to go back to a t1 status, they're kinda fine with sticking in t3 tier and just playing for fun. If they're fine with it, why fans should rage? Let's accept it and move on :p Well fans are accepting it and that is why Alliance barely has any fans these days. But if they think they are going to get paid for much longer while being garbage, they are in for a rude awakening. I don't see Alliance keeping any of them past this year if they don't perform. You can't suck for 2 years and expect to still be paid.
Truth to be told, all sponsor cares about is exposure. And somehow, alliance still brings shitloads of viewers, even at their low tier. So as long as ppl are watching they are gonna get sponsors, even if they're losing. I feel like alliance either doesn't care anymore, or they just wanna try for TI and training hard over several patches is just useless and time consuming. It's eventually gonna take it's toll on the team spirit as well. They might just be fooling around and gonna go all in once it matters. I know it matters in these tournaments still, it's cash etc, but they might simply not give a fuck if they are going all in for TI. But who knows. I'm so baffled. They played better without S4 and that is really puzzeling to me. I cant wrap my head around it.

These last games have been painful to watch. I really want Alliance to return in their fullest Swedish glory, but it all comes down to how much they want it themselves. Unfortunately, it's looking as if they are not motivated enough. They have some tough work ahead of them.
#longliveAlliance, please

i kind of get the vibe they arent turning on the tryhard until the next patch comes out

I feel sad for s4. i really liked him both as player and person while he was on Secret.
i sincerely hope that he finds his rhythm on next patch.

To be fair, it was pretty clear that alliance was experimenting with their drafts. No reason to first phase puck, or pick naix or jugg. Unlike before though, teams are no longer so bad that you can roll them over with anything.

In that CISR game they last picked puck after DK was banned out (remember NiP game?).

Ok makes more sense then. Gosu posted wrongly.

I've lost all hope for this team. I'll still keep the flair and I'll continue to watch their games (becuase Alliance <3) but honestly I don't think they're going to come back.

Forever with the boys, EVEN IN THE DEEPEST SHIT, WE'LL RAISE FROM OUR ASHES ONE DAY. LONG LIVE [A]!!!

Seems like they have no idea what to do in this patch... let's hope they do better when 6.85 hits. I think it will reinvigorate a lot of the pros. Let's not be too hasty

When I saw the lineup I had hope for some sight of success or talent. I didn't expect the additions of s4 and mynuts would make them win a lot, if anything, but I didn't imagine it being this rough for the team. It kind of sucks.

Said it many times. Bulldog and mynuts need to be replaced. The way bulldog plays is that he needs farm to function. So on do shit heroes, he seeks to farm for some items, rather than make plays on poverty level like his off lane peers do. It kinda is a huge burden. As for mynuts, his movements and plays are just unspectacular.

You don't think Akke and Loda needs to be replaced just as much as bulldog and mynuts?

I'm also behind the boys all day, every day. These losses could be a great thing. It's a slap in the face; you work hard or you go home. The competitive scene is a lot tougher nowadays. I think Loda's motivation is as high as ever. He almost takes the losses too hard, putting a lot of blame on himself. How the others feel about it we don't know, since they rarely tweet about their emotions after games.
Also, I have to agree with some of the concerns raised about Bulldog. As has been stated before, he IS a serious player and does his homework (despite his clowny personality, according to 7ckingMad f.e.) but he is very rigid in his playstyle. He's very egocentric: Wants to get farm at any cost and doesn't make any impact with low economy. However, people saying his Clockwerk is shit needs to watch some Bulldog Clock games from 2013-2014, heck even earlier in 2015. He's had huge games on Clock, but besides Beastmaster (and Batriser pre-nerf) that's the only playmaking hero I'd say he's good at.
I sincerely hope these past weeks serve as a wakeup call to bite down and work hard, not as a demoralizer. Let's keep believing! :-)

Hey, what if we replace everyone except s4? But seriously, Loda and Akke kinda is Alliance...

There are a lot of theories going around as to why alliance is doing so poorly atm. Really looking forward to the games tomorrow and I really hope they do well, just for the self esteem if nothing else. Get some momentum going. Especially since they'll meet MFF in a week again. GO A
