I watched Chessie stream a couple of days ago and he was asked about the state of his back/neck problems and it was said by one of his mods that even though he is better, he's not fully recovered and don't know if he ever will be (possibly chronical). I want to hear the words coming straight from Chessie though before really believing anything. Chessie has proven to have great synergy with Loda & co (stated by Loda in several interviews), so if his health is better that would be a great solution. Lord knows Chessie can play a bunch more heroes now than he did 1 year ago. As to whether or not Mad will stay, that's an interesting one. Bulldog has stated a few times that one of the reasons he came back to play for (A) was because Mad had decided to come on board and Bulldog supposedly felt very excited to play with Mad in particular. Whether or not that still holds true I don't know. Loda has always been obsessed with the idea of an all-Swedish team (superior communication etc) and he does seem to be the main authority after all. Just to toy with the idea (assuming a Swedish player is what they're looking for): What Swedish quality drafter/shot-caller is available at the moment? My mind goes to pieliedie, but I have no idea what he's doing right now or if he's in shape anymore.

I'd love for handsken to come to alliance, but that's just a dream. s4 would be awesome too. Damn these reshuffles are a pain to wait out, and with the new valve system of leagues etc we're only gonna get more of them shuffles! yak!

I think the whole point of the majors is to have less shuffles, that's why all of this is happening now before teams are 'locked' on 1st September

Teams are only locked during the majors. So the closer to TI the more "locked" the teams will feel. Thus, this early in the year will only cater for more shuffles.

I'm super psyched to see if they already have a big name lined up or if they're bringing in new talent. 7ckingmad seemed to be a keeper at the beginning of the summer and I think they have faith in him. Still, he might be replaced considering Loda's affection for all-Swedish lineups.

When they played TI3 it wasn't just them on top of the meta, Loda was always playing very well. He never got caught out of position, always found farm etc. But now... he's just bad.

Roster locks only accomplish making the process accelerated and organized. There's still good in this because last year people ultimately disregarded 5-6 months of the entire year because teams were shuffling forever, and if one team wasn't half of their opponents were so their victories had a large asterisk. This one month after TI we'll have a season of teams ready to go, where last year you weren't sure what the fuck was happening until 3 months out.

It all depends on how they(Valve) punish the shuffling teams between majors , like "you are allowed 1 sub between majors , any more and you need to qualify" , i agree that there are more windows , but if valve has strict rules it will be more or less the same.

Ehhh, thats true only for the teams that were doing well in 2014 (Secret, C9, EG). For teams that were doing average/below average, it was open season throughout the year. Just think of how many players [A], Na'vi, VP, Tinker etc. went through in the past year. They literally had changes almost every month. Valve probably wants to control that.

Has valve released any info on the mechanics of the majors aside from their post in dota2blog in may? I don't think there's official public details (the teams know though) but I think it's locked 1-2 months before and then unlocked for a bit after. So there's 3-4 windows for teams to shuffle and still get invited to tournaments. (assuming TI will be Just Another Major and not the 4 months team lock it current is)

It's only going to control them by making them more organized and happen quicker.
