He also made huge plays and even though it looked grim in so many of their games but knowing that they had their stable Akke in the back always calmed me down. But since spring 2014 he hasn't looked very good honestly, very rarely does he make big plays and it doesn't feel like he is having much of an impact really. Have you seen akke's ravages on lion? I think Akke has not changed. Back then he was never known for making the plays. Alliance's play style was pretty standard. Loda gets free farm. Egm/akke zones + pulls. S4 goes even or better at mid lane on his own. Bulldog disrupts the enemy's ability to pull with bear/treants, then proceeds to jungle. Egm/Akke then makes smart rotations to bank either their safelane or help s4 secure his lane further. Then its methodical plays as s4 will set up ganks with Akke/egm as loda/bulldog out farm their opponents. Then they proceed to get objectives while maintaining map control and their advantage. Their whole style is basically to get a better headstart than the enemy via farm. Alliance supports can farm, but the enemy can't because of bulldog. Akke was never tasked to create space. He was only meant to assist s4 in doing so. Now the supports look clueless because there's no s4 to lead the charge. They have to do everything on their own like other teams, and I guess its not a natural thing for them. You could say that they failed to adapt their style, and I guess I would agree somewhat.

They should be having a crisis meeting right now desperately trying to find a strategy to not completely embarrass themselves at upcoming tournaments like ESL Frankfurt. Jesus man. They just got kicked out of TI. The maint event of the year. They HAVE to disconnect from their team and digest this. They all do it their own way. Bulldog streams cuz he enjoys it. The rest does what they do. And besides. What do u suggest AB should do after a meeting and the rest of the team does random shit? He wants to stream so he does..

If you do anything, you do it in October and February. Now is too late.

They may want to practise a little bit for the other upcoming tournaments though.

It's a very stacked tournament (mini TI, participation wise), and if alliance is going to stand a chance with the current lineup, ESL is a real test for them.

Participation wise it's not that interesting, so A might not put that much effort into this. But who knows. They were struggling vs T2 teams in the TIqualifiers so this might be a good start back to the top.

EG, and Mouz come to mind.
