They are by far the most frequently profitable team to DDoS for item bets. I can't speak to how good their protection is. All I'll say is a lot of other teams seem to have zero issues so maybe they should ask for help. :S

Well vanskor seems to believe that deleting his friends off of skype will help him.. so they probably aren't well protected at all.

If they use the in game voice, would it work better ?
Do Chinesse players use Skype ? They dont seem to have too much problems with DDOS

They can just use ANY OTHER voip. (mumble, ts, vent, raidcall, razor comms)
Most good Chinese teams are all in the same room, so they don't need it.

Edit: Independently of results, how did they play? I missed both games.

they are also one of the juiciest teams to DDoS due to betting odds around their games being skewed due to their past. Still, you don't require a PhD to protect yourself from DDoS's. I'm not sure if vanskor got DDoS'd though, it seemed like poor internet.
edit: seems like poor tournament design to let the teams have the decision, if players get DDoS'd the game should be re-scheduled, that way they (the DDoSer) doesnt win. Most DDoS's happen because people bet real money on these games, and want to make sure they win, if tournament organizers just banded together and sorted out issues like this it would greatly improve the scene.

Wouldn't you agree that decisions like this is exactly what they SHOULD do then to stop the ddos attacks? You said it yourself that it's simple to solve, then punish the players for not doing that until they take it seriously enough to do that. It might seem silly to punish the players for getting targeted, but unfortunately they're the only ones to blame for not protecting themselves against it in the first place.

DDoS's arent always that easy to protect agains though, it really depends on the determination of the DDoSSer. I think, in this game vanskor just has bad internet because he always has these issues, and being a proferssional dota2 player without good internet is inexcuseable.

I know you can't entirely eliminate the problem that easily, but I do think it would narrow down the number of cases by a fair share. It's a nice short term solution while a long term one is laid out, I'd say.
Speak of the devil it seems Na'Vi are having connection issues again right now.

I am not %100 sure it is easy to protect yourself from DDoS. But there are ways to prevent "random" people to commit a DDoS to a degree.

It was only 4ASC but nice performance from the boys today.

Was Dendi drafting today? 4ASC did really well against secret (even took a game off of them), so it's nice to see Na`vi dispatch of them pretty easily!

Dendi's drafting needs work but I do like seeing it. He has a definite flavor to his drafts; he's clearly got an idea of what he wants to do. Not sure it'll be the thing long-term but it's interesting to watch.
Anyway, why is it so damn long between Na'Vi games these days.

I dendi drafting has something going for
He has a clear idea of what he wants, even if his drafts arent the best, knowing what you are doing and were you are going its already half of the job done

Hard to see a Drow and Lina can deal with a CK+Wisp and a Bristleback. They need some sick ulties from Disruptor and timing from Lion.

The boys need a lot of work and the fact that they are playing so infrequently right now is kinda shitty.
