you get the idea... volvo is re-releasing the game that is rewrote using a new game engine, it will break some stuff, introduce some awesome shit, probably break some other stuff... I still don't get the hype Beside new UI and custom maps and "I don't know what so good about it" chat Basically we're still in the same game Those candies will be interesting for a 2 weeks Then we gonna essentially still play for the game Ok except the custom map Enlighten me please
I think people are excited mostly for custom maps. Also it's nice to get something that's not hats even if it really has negligible impact on your game experience.

better game effects (more hats)
less bugs... easier to fix fix bugs
dunno, yes it's mostly candies at this point but having a new engine is generally a good thing. Look at League, years later, still same shitty UI, same shitty bugs.

The new source 2 engine makes creating custom games very easy, both for valve and community members. we are likely to see more events now. 2. dota tv is completely redone and looks very usefull 3. optimized for less powerful pcs. just to name a few

i wonder how they calculate the hero mmr and if it is comparable to the real mmr. i mean its not even important but i love stats.

holy shit wow this looks amazing! never playing sc2 again after seeing this. Ive given blizzard 4 years to step there game up and they have not even come close and valve just keeps amazing me more each day. Im not trying to bash sc2 and bliz and start a which game is better but ive spent so much time on sc2 and its just shit compared to dota now I mean LOTV is just a " new" hots, but revamping the layout and engine and other stuff makes dota like a new game. Just WOW again valve is incredible and they deserve all the money they get and more. JUST WOW! cant wait.

Definetly good news, really interested in knowing if my toaster can still bear the game after the update. The new features look quite demanding.

I'm just waiting for somebody to make a BW/WC3 clone in the source2 engine. If anyone here wants to make it I'd be more than happy to help, don't know anything about modding but I'll find something to do

Ooooh, that looks utterly amazing!!! I can't wait :D

Every other game saying "What don't we have this :'((((". An amazing update, pretty much everything anyone has asked for. Those "Source 2 will fix it" memes were actually prophecies. I'm loving the stats. Stats stats stats. MMR per hero per player. Although the Web graph needs an extra spoke for either "HAM" or "FEED"

So many new things, it's awesome!

Holy shitsnags, this looks SO good!
Still the same game, but man, so many neat things. DotaTV OP.

Wow! Super excited about this! Also, the map used in the "Demo your hero" video looks interesting
|
volvo bringing it to the next level...hell its about time....
god i love the hero demo, it shows leshracs immortal staff for 12 cents on the market, which will be pretty close to the actual price i guess :D

will there be a seperated test client for this? or will they implement it into the main client?
|
I think the "rebirth of Dota 2" looks good. Pretty cool that they have guided bot matches for beginners. Probably be an influx of newbies trying the game after TI5. The interface looks nice and Dota TV improvements are a good thing. Overall I think the change is looking likes it's for the better (unlike b.net 2.0 for Blizzard games).
