So hungering arrow guarantees +3 hatred for each shot it hits? I've been testing some runes but can't really tell the differences.. which rune should i be using to generate most hatred?

Alright, this is my current build in Nightmare as level 40. It's pretty good and I think it's the best build out of all DPS builds that doesn't involve traps. I've tried pretty much everything and this is easiest and does the most damage, the fastest.

Right now my I have 3586 hp and 1126.23 dmg with 846 armor. I rape hard o_O

Hungering Arrow generates hatred if it doesn't hit anything. AFAIK all DH builders do for some broken reason. Just sit there and spam that shit, it generates if you shoot thin air.

I've been using the +10%crit chance while standing on caltrops, Im wondering, with that extra 10% crit, is + crit dmg more useful?

if i start getting +crit dmg ( socket weapon, or just searching for it on gear) should i also take sharpshooter?

Ive been playing around with builds, im almost 60 and im still not sure what the best is. Ive recently realised how good smokescreen is tho.

Yeah, it can be good against some stuff. I prefer frost now, for the damage buff with cull the weak, but fear arrow has it's uses. Especially against all the elites that are specifically randomized just to be impossible to kite.

Used shatter extensively before and imo I felt like I did more dmg with devouring, esp against single targets which was the main purpose for me to use it. I would like to see what the actual numbers are to see which one fares better. I feel though the shatter is too random to measure accurately

For me, shatter is very much just for the utility of softening up multiple targets. I really think builders are largely a matter of playstyle, though. Aside from Bola abuse. Which is just a matter of bola+stun being stupid until it gets nerfed.

after my elemental arrow journy that lasted from nightmare to inferno, i have gone back to multishot, but with the discipline rune. Along with it entangling with double hatred generation.
Farmed inferno elites with it, even the stupid invulnerable minion ones didnt scare me.

if i had two good 1handed xbows, i would totally try a crit based build that procs even more discipline.

What are you using as your Disc dump? I generally use shadow power + gloom for the tanking, allows me to survive a few hits in inferno. Also, Cirt builds with crit damage and Impale+mortal wounds is pretty funny. Hello 90k crits.

After switching over to SC I figured everything one shots me anyways so I just dropped everything for pure damage I'm at ~24k hp / 14k dmg, anything but minions can't die is pretty easy with SS spam

No clue about my resists, never looked at it even in HC.

I just got to act 4 hell. I've been stacking resistances since I got into hell. I maintain about 20k hp and my resistances keep jumping. I'm blocking about 40% of all damage. In a 2-3 man hell group, I'm only taking about 3k hits and that is if I even get hit.

The only thing I changed when I got to hell was Marked for Death for Shadow Power but I still put marked for death back in when I'm in a group.

Just managed to beat Butcher Inferno. Man Act 2 is such a huge difficulty increase. Been mainly using Smoke Screen to whittle down elites. Works pretty well. What are your inferno setups? Mine is
this. I use a 2h crossbow with it.

If i manage to get 2 impales off before the stupid bat attacks, the damage is hilarious.


before that i had 35k hp and 12k dps and tried to kite everything, now i am at 29K HP and 20k dps and just sit there with the smokescreen. Way faster now, but i expect a balance change.
We probably wont be able to attack in smokescreen or something.
