Kiko Alonso was a Defensive Rookie of the Year, and although, I don't think he's a super star or anything, I do think he will be good starter with upside. And he's really really cheap.

Those are the two players I absolutely don't want to leave (along with Kelce, Lane Johnson and maybe Ertz)

I'm not sold in Kiko though. Guy has torn both ACLs. We can't be sure he will return to 2013 form. Plus, he wasn't as great in the 2nd half of that season. Also, he isn't exactly a high character guy. What worries me most is these blatant Oregon player grabs. Sure it's fine to want players who you know from college, but when you make it so obvious I'm afraid it will only raise the price on future players you want since everyone knows how badly you want them. I'm absolutely convinced at this point that CK is going all-in on Mariotta. From the Bills prospective I wouldn't be very happy. Basically this tells me you have no QB plans and will rely entirely on defense + running (see Jets).

Kelly thinks the Oregon players are undervalued and fits his system. He dominated college football with 3 star recruits. Similarly, many of the Oregon players weren't that highly thought of going into the NFL and simply thought of as system players. I guess Chip feels differently.

After swinging a blockbuster deal for LeSean McCoy on Tuesday, GM Doug Whaley is back at it again Wednesday. After losing out to the Browns for Josh McCown, the Bills turned their attention to the trade market. It's basically a salary dump by the Vikings, who save $4.75 million against the cap and further clear the quarterback room for Teddy Bridgewater. Cassel, 33 in May, appeared in 12 games (nine starts) for Minnesota the past two seasons, composing a 4-5 record with a 14:13 TD:INT ratio and 6.9 YPA average. He's nothing more than a game manager who will compete with E.J. Manuel for the starting job.
