There is always hope. Not a lot, in my case, but some. This is why conservatives don't want another Bush. Although I suppose "electable" is the key word here. Even the most conservative of presidents would have a hell of a time unraveling it all.
Fox News President Roger Ailes called billionaire and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump earlier today after experiencing the wrath of unhinged Fox News viewers, other conservative media outlets, and Trump's weekend anti-Fox News media blitz. Tensions continued to grow quickly over the thinly veiled hit job Ailes ordered on Trump during Thursday night's debate, which Megyn Kelly largely carried out. Although no one knows everything the conversation between Trump and Ailes was about it did result in Trump agreeing to go on Fox & Friends and Hannity tomorrow, as well as an agreement on how to divide Poland.
"We definitely cleared the air and we both had a good laugh about how I tried to ruin him politically in front of the entire country during the Fox News debate. Trump knows it was just a little joke between two great friends," stated Ailes, who had a Cheshire Cat grin that appeared to be slowly eating his face.

(Above) (PHOTO SOURCE) Ailes added, "I stood by Megyn Kelly and her conduct during the debate, as she was only doing what I told her to do. Anyway, me and Trump have come to a gentleman's agreement to be respectful, and we have finally come to an agreement on how to divide the country of Poland in a fair way."
"Ailes and I talked it out, but I still think that bimbo Megyn Kelly should apologize for what she did to me during Thursday's debate by bringing up my sexism. The best thing about this agreement is I got most of what I wanted regarding Poland, which Ailes and I have been talking about for months, " stated Trump.
Fox News and Trump both announced they trusted each other and were "very happy" with how Poland was divided between them.
TNA has learned Megyn Kelly may discuss the details of the non-aggression agreement on her show The Kelly File, which airs at 9:00 tonight on Fox News.
Bernie with another 27,000 in LA... Rumor has it he let Black Lives Matter start the program; if true, it's genius and shows he's making improvements to his platform.
This is from July! How did we miss it in this thread?!?
Bernie's a much more fun version of Ron Paul these days. Hell, even Trump's got that crazy edge when you wonder if he's going to claim to force Mexico to build the wall or flip around interviewers' questions. Ron Paul is yesterday's news, and I'm thinking that's the way it'll remain.
Its literally a straight up advertisement... He is basically Bieber being paid to endorse Coke. Because he no longer has any political power it basically means nothing.

Symone Sanders is his new National Comm. Director and she has been introducing all of his guest speakers and addressing BLM issues every rally so far.
He's become a sad old man. Every once in a while there will be a commercial on the TV with him on. Same sort of end of the world the sky is falling bullshit. The United States, Russia and China are waging a secret arms race that could soon usher in a new generation of high-speed weapons never before seen in warfare.
In one test, a missile built by Boeing flew more than 230 miles in just four minutes. In another, a prototype designed by Lockheed Martin blasted off like a rocket and streaked back through the atmosphere at more than 20 times the speed of sound. China has reportedly tested its version over a lake in Inner Mongolia. And in February, Russia joined the fray when it tested a model that intelligence experts assert could be designed to carry a nuclear warhead.
Such hypersonic weapons, intended to attack targets many times faster than the speed of sound — before a defender could even react — have become the newest hope for military commanders seeking to gain an edge over potential adversaries. While most details and the level of funding remains classified, some predict they could be perfected within the next five years.
Critics both inside and outside of the military fear these futuristic missiles could be dangerously destabilizing, but Congress is pushing to accelerate development of these weapons. The missiles could render obsolete even the most advanced missiles defenses and provide a new means to deliver nuclear warheads, prompting some to call for an outright ban.
“We’re just doing it because maybe we can, and because others can too, and people are deluded that it represents some kind of major advance that we can exploit to keep the Chinese or Russian menace at bay,” said physicist Mark Gubrud, a professor in the Curriculum of Peace, War and Defense at the University of North Carolina.
“I think serious strategic thought leads to the conclusion that we would be much better off using our narrow lead to induce others to join us in a moratorium and banning these things,” he said.
After raising only a little over $1 million for his campaign by the end of June, Rick Perry has stopped paying campaign staff members, aides said, an indication that his funds have all but dried up.
Mr. Perry, a former Texas governor who is trying to resurrect his presidential hopes after a failed bid for the Republican nomination in 2012, has not indicated to aides when he will be able to begin paying them again, according to members of his staff.
One aide, who requested anonymity to speak about the inner workings of the campaign, said he did not expect to be paid for at least a few weeks.
Mr. Perry narrowly missed qualifying for the prime-time debate last week and, despite a determined effort to reintroduce himself to Republican voters, has struggled to gain traction in the early nominating states. In past campaigns, such difficulties along with an apparently grim financial ledger, would likely prompt a candidate to drop out of the race.
But while Mr. Perry can no longer afford to compensate his relatively lean staff, “super PACs” supporting his candidacy are sitting on over $10 million. A group of pro-Perry super PACs raised $16.8 million through last month.
“Here are the facts: We have plenty of money to put him in position to finish in the top three or even win Iowa,” said Austin Barbour, a campaign strategist working for Mr. Perry’s super PACs.
Signaling that the groups were willing to pick up costs traditionally associated with campaigns, Mr. Barbour said: “We raised so much money we have the ability to support him in a number of ways. And we’ve been looking at all different ways to support him, not just paid media.”

Maybe the super PACS will start sending "gifts" to his aides in lieu of salaries.
If you can’t raise enough money directly, don’t worry. Billionaires and multinational cooperation can fund you to the end of the line. Just remember, it’s free speech and those who have more money get to talk longer because they earned it. Or got it from their parents.

This just puts extra emphasis on the utter stupidity of Dubbya's renewed efforts to create the Star Wars system, and Obama's silent continuation of the program. It didn't even work well against regular missiles. How the hell does anybody expect it to work against the next-gen missiles like these? Why antagonize both Russia and China by putting missile shield things into place that don't even work?
Why not get some free international PR by dropping the program now that there is yet another nail in its coffin?

It's okay, $500 pre paid Visa or Amex cards are totally gifts! It's called a gift card, how could it be anything else?
In Colorado, New Mexico and Utah, towns that are downstream from the old gold mine that spewed contaminated wastewater into a river have shut off their water supplies' connections to the spill. Two rivers will remain closed until at least Monday, officials say.
The spill began last Wednesday, when an EPA cleanup team used heavy equipment to breach a dam at an abandoned mine in Colorado. They inadvertently released water that was laden with heavy metals and contaminants into a creek that flows into a river above Durango.
"The orange plume of wastewater leaked from the Gold King Mine in southwestern Colorado down the Animas River into New Mexico's San Juan River," Colorado Public Radio's Grace Hood reports. She adds that seven public water supply systems have been shut off in Colorado and New Mexico.
Water samples taken after the spill showed lead concentrations that were 3,500 times the levels normally seen in Durango. The wastewater also contains manganese, zinc, copper and cadmium, along with other contaminants.
Health officials have urged farmers and those who use affected rivers and lakes for recreation to avoid the water. For cities and farms, the ban is forcing them to use other sources or pull from reserves. In some areas, the EPA is supplying water for livestock.
The spill turned rivers that are normally a blue-green color into a cloudy orange, triggering a flurry of posts on Twitter and Facebook — many of which also vented anger at the EPA over the conditions on waterways that are frequently used for kayaking and trout fishing.
By Monday afternoon, some photos from the Animas River showed that it had cleared up somewhat, aided by the EPA's introduction of clean water upstream and the use of large holding pools to contain the toxic water.
Gotta love the "omg fed can't do anything right" when it was a private company who created the problem the EPA had to clean up in the first parent. Sounds just like a kid complaining to his parents.

Or it is a lack of regulation/oversight/enforcement for all the private companies that keep having shabby systems leak into the water. This stuff happens way to often
And just remember the current GOP loves regulations at the state level, especially if it favors one large company. Like all the laws protecting car dealerships. Or single internet service providers and laws preventing new start ups.
They are just against regulation at the federal level, because the federal government is big enough to deal with these companies. Hence why they love the idea of state regulation of healthcare and things like the mine that just imploded.
But don’t worry, it will just be a write off for that company. Might not even hurt their bottom line.
