Some people seriously need to wake up here.
If you think Quantic recruited Maximus for his huge tournament winning potential, you need some kind of a reality check. Jeff has worked his butt off for the past two years to produce great Starcraft 2 content, and has gained an enormous fan base in the process.
When CheckSix recruited him, their popularity skyrocketed. Why? Not because he's top 20 GM, but because of his personality. Anyone who even mentions something about his skill level in this thread shouldn't even be taken seriously.
I've even seen some people saying that he's "bad for eSports". Well, guess what, a percentage of his fan base first found When Cheese Fails on YouTube, and then got interested in Starcraft. I can say with great confidence that if it wasn't for LAGTV (his channel), I wouldn't even be remotely as interested in Starcraft as I am today, and I know for a fact that I am not alone in that.
All in all, if you're gonna whine about this, go somewhere else. Quantic picked him up because he's a great eSports personality, and having him on the team will boost their popularity vastly. They don't need to "hide" that, because it goes without saying.

I don't understand.... Why should he stop all-inning or 4gating? Proffesional high level players (MC, Squirtle, PartinG, NaNi etc.) do two base all-ins or 4gates (esp MC) quite often as well.

I think I will post something to all the haters out there. First off thank you, without all of you guys I wouldn't work as hard to prove you all wrong. Also sometimes the hate is justified and I make changes to become a better entertainer.
Now for people that will just hate and use the 4 gate thing or cheese thing. That is fine. As I say what I'm about to say people will say I have an ego or I'm narcissistic.
I have 4 youtube channels in which total over 120,000 subscribers. I'm also the co-fonder of When Cheese Fails a highly successful youtube series. I also stream 150-200 hours a month and contain high viewer numbers. I agree I'm not the best at SC2 compared to other pros. The thing is you guys compare me to them and I'm not them. I work hard everyday to entertain my fans. Judging by the support Quantic and Razer are giving me they think so too.
I've made some mistakes early on. I've learned from them. I also know I can't please everyone so I stopped trying. As for Desrow coming to my house and coaching I learned a lot. A lot of people talk about the 4 gate but won't talk about my PvZ and PvT improvements or my MAJOR hotkey changes. Another thing about the Desrow coaching, a lot of things happened between us that I felt I was extremely mistreated. I didn't want to go to the public about it because I didn't want to do Desrow like that as I felt he did to me (nor was it anyone business was resolved between us in a good manner. So I will take that role as the bad guy one more time. The haters have no problem talking about my faults but will not recognize my strengths.
It's been awhile since I stood up for myself, I take a lot of racist heat from the public. Via emails, twitch.tv messages, youtube comments. I'm not the one giving esports a bad name. It's the jealous haters that do. I'm playing my role and my part. I don't do things perfect but I try my best. I hope that I can win the hearts of some of the nonbelievers in the future and I look forward to playing at a high level some day. I'm enjoying this journey I'm grateful for this job so why rush it.

For those of u guys hating on MaxBlack, I met him at MLG and ended up hanging out with him that night after the event. He's a super nice / chill dude. So I wish him the best and hope it works out with Quanitc. He does deserve a good foreign team cuz he has a huge following and he's full-time dedicated to SC2 + improving.
