I'm feeling you. Money .... to see their true colours? HEH, good trade.

Los of people hating in this thread.
Just because he plays a certain way, doesn't mean he'll never be pro. You know Wayne Gretzky was never drafted, but to this day still holds tons of records in professional hockey.
Until he actually tries his hand at being a pro gamer, nobody can say for certain that he will fail. In life, death is the only absolute.

Yeah because 4 gating to masters is actually hard right? Honestly there are people that are a hell of alot better than him that deserve a spot on a team no matter what their doing. Put him in a PvP against a Korean and see how his 4 gate does. Oh thats right they wouldnt even need an FF to block the ramp they'd just out micro him then out macro him and crush him. If you cant macro to save your life there is no way in hell your going to even touch GM. There is a reason why even being Top 8 master means nothing because there is such a large skill jump from a rank 1 master player (unless your a pro that missed out on getting GM at the start of a season) to top 200 in NA GM.
4 gating and dt rushing to top 8 means absolutely nothing. I'd like to see you and MB even try to 4 gate your way up to masters on KR.
Real players that actually care wouldnt accept any payment for playing bad. Was even said in Liquid Rising Ret returned his month's salary because he said he didnt deserve it because he didnt work for it. A persona only gets you so far in anything and once you slip out of it you have nothing. Dont even think going to the Quantic training house will help him any if coaching from DesRow didnt.

It's childish to bring up a personal issue that's already been resolved in a thread like this. Desrow was trying to make MB look bad, which is painful for me to admit since despite all this I still respect Desrow for his dedication to the game and his constant attempts to improve himself.

I don't get it, on stream you said countless times "I'm gonna be the bigger man and drop this" and yet, here we are.
Anyways, I suppose this thread should just get closed as it's no longer discussing MB's signing. Personal differences aside, it IS a big deal to get signed to any team and hopefully shit goes well.

See, you're full of shit, because you said he 4gated to get to masters, but he rarely 4gates, and only against protoss now. Meaning he's keeping his ranking through solid macro play. And maybe coaching from someone who he gets along with will help. And not to be mean, but desrow isn't even THAT good. Better than me, yes. Better than most pro players? no.

Did you even read MB post, he was never going to bring it up, kept quite this whole month. He was going to take the high road and let nothing be known to the public. Not only did desrow try to go and slander MB name behind his back to people in the industry if you look back on page 11 he tried to do the same thing on TL. So jeff is supposed to let someone drag his name through the gutter. Ya........................................ >.>

I agree... somewhat. I think he should have cooled off before posting, but people wanted his side of the story and there it is. I don't think it makes his new team look bad, some may think it makes him look worse, but I don't think he did anything wrong from a business point of view. I can also understand where Desrow is coming from. If made a lot less than some one else in a business venture I'd be jealous too, but that still doesn't mean I have any right to more money.
I especially don't like how Desrow went and talked to professionals in the community and badmouthed Jeff. It reminds me of a child running to someone parents or teachers and trying to get them in trouble. Low. And then he goes and does it again in a TL thread announcing Jeff joining a team; A month later!

Edit: Oh well, not going into this, since this wouldn't make any sense tho. But also, from most of comments I've read, someone is surely lying, do not know which one, but one seriously is.

Btw do some research Gretzky didnt need to be drafted. After the WHA folded the Oilers team could hold onto 4 players total (2 goalies and 2 players) when they went to the NHL. Even though he wasnt chosen to be safe the contract he signed (10 year personal service contract) in his first and only year in the WHA prevented him from even being in the draft or picked up by another team.
So many people think they know simple facts when they're completely wrong because they dont do research. Good job you just made yourself look like a dumbass. Do your research next time before stating something so stupid.
And you cant compare the skills of hockey to those of an RTS its apples and oranges. GG

tbh its all he said she said atm, someone credible just told me that they verbally agreed to split the donations beforehand
its funny because the story keeps changing, at first we were talking about whether or not it was morally incorrect for mb not to split the donations with desrow because he had both their names on it, afterwards it was proven that the box said "desrow costs/mb mlg trip" and now someone told me that desrow said that they verbally agreed to split the donations beforehand, unless mb confirms this this shit is just going to continue, if he does confirm it then hes the one who didnt keep his end of the bargain obv
all i got out of this story is that either desrow or mb isnt telling the truth, now i know not to trust anyone that i dont know in this community ^_^

Well, if they agreed beforehand, then it wouldn't have taken so long/other people for desrow to feel he deserved more, and he would've said that in the first place. That's definitely not true.

I dont now who this person is that told you this, but it was clear to all viewers on stream and was stated numerous times throughout the stream that the donations were to pay for the cost of MaximusBlack bringing Desrow to live in his house for a week and for paying for MaximusBlack's trip to mlg. I did not hear Desrow say anything about that, and he didnt even really mention in his comments that he made this 50/50 deal with Jeff, he only mentioned that he thought he deserved more then he got and that some he thought other people might o thought that some of the donation were going to him, which was clearly not the case.

Then why did Desrow not say as much in the first place? He never mentioned agreeing to split the donations beforehand. Also, who would have this inside information? Unless they were there in person when it was discussed, they would be going on the word of Desrow or MB(unlikely).

man my last comment has so many spelling mistakes in it but who cares 4:30 am

Seems highly unlikely considering the fact that DesRow didn't bring it up in his post. It would be kind of an important detail, as I'm sure you are aware..
You might want to adjust your 'credibility value' for the person that gave you this information, btw

Dude, you'll be just fine, if you follow one golden rule about deals.
Everything is in writing in advance of closing the deal. Full disclosure. Do that, and your gaming career will be full of less headaches.

He mentioned it in the reddit thread but I heard nothing of this.. all I knew was desrow flew in to coach him some. This is basicly what happened Maximus offered me to go over to his house for 7 days and coach him. It was a great opportunity/event to promote myself and promote himself. He offered me 500$ and paid airfare and food which was 500$. On top of that, he gave me a 70$ microphone as a gift. Maximus made around 850$ off ad revenue and 4000$ off donations minus 1070 for aifare/salary/microphone. Once I got back, I talked with a few really close friends who work in e-sports for notable organisations and asked them their opinion of the whole affair. Most of them were shocked/surprised that he wasn't giving me more than that. I asked Maximus a week later if he thought I deserved more than what he gave me. He started flipping out and being agressive and calling me out for things that never seemed to be an issue while I was over there. Most of the jokes I made were to entertain sort of like 2GD. He kept claiming that he lost potential revenue from his youtube channel when he already had pre-recorded content for every channel. After he flipped out, I realize this wasn't going anywhere. Until I heard that CSN wanted to hire him. Being a acquaintance of John Clark, I thought it was only fair to inform him of how Maximus was behind the scene. After CSN telling Maximus what I told them, he realize that this whole story could get out and that his persona would be compromised. He then agreed to pay an extra 300$ out of spite.
Ya see that part, if you agree to split you are not going to ask if you "deserve" more. You are going to ask for how much you agreed too.
