You know why people stick protoss units in deathballs? Because theyre awful on their own and will always be outmassed really quickly. 8 Marines in a dropship can take out 10+ drones and then even put up a fight, 4 zealots will be hard pressed to catch any drones.

Gateway units are weak, they have only one purpose, standing in the way on the opponent while the colossi kills him. Theyre symbiotic, dps dealers and gateway barricades.

why not throw the roach in there too while you at it?

75 minerals /25 gas /2 supply /145 hitpoints/16 damage/4 range


news flash, different races are different. If you didnt know by now, the marauder is SUPPOSED to counter the stalker.

Imagin if the stalker was as strong as the marauder, what the fuck would terran be able to do? ROFLLLLLLLLLLL

this chenge was needed because unlike terran and zerg protoss has more upgrades for his infantary then other races


I'm sorry but that is not quite true, since zerg has both ground melee and ground ranged attack upgrades, terran has both ground bio and ground mech upgrades, and protoss just has ground upgrades which effects their gateway and robo units.

it was just an exemple, to show the differences between the upgrades, i never said anyting about damage or using/microing them. It was to show how upgrades worth for each race, in the case 3/3 upgrade are faster and easyier to get as terran them 3/3/3 for protoss (so they are even in upgrades)

Maybe this is like Jonathon Swift's "A Modest Proposal" and that is why it is designed to stop the qq'ing?

But anyway, yes, marauders lose to stalkers in a straight up fight. Marauders can also not shoot up. We have been dealing with the stalker marauder argument the second beta started, and you think you saying anything not said a billion times? Even in light of the new patch, they are different races, and I for one welcome the shield upgrade shield, it affects every Protoss unit. It explains the higher cost, and while it could be "imbalanced" this will rarely decide a game

Never mind, I reread your post, you say people should stop qq'ing about the protoss buff, but you begin with a long paragraph of qq! I agree it may have been a necessary change, but don't do it like that. Just have the "Stop whining arguments" then the "Why it may have been necessary."

protoss don't have to research for robo units while terran needs to for vehicles and zerg needs to for melee and range

i see reapers as the most awesome unit in this game....if terran could use them in a late game (instead of doing a round of marauders, get some reapers) and spread them in the map, gaing control over map, and multiple haressing enemy a single reaper could make a full retrat in an mineral line. A drone or two kill and no minine for 10 sec really worth ONE reaper....

the major flaw i see in your argument is that terran also needs to get other upgrades. here you only consider infantry upgrade for terran. but your 3/3/3 is much stronger if you don't build any air units. and 0/0 vikings don't kill colossus fast enough.
