-승부를 원점으로 되돌렸다.
▶추석 연휴에 쉬지 못하며 연습한 보람이 있다. 금요일 경기에서 승리 해서 꼭 8강을 가야겠다는 생각 뿐이다. 지금 1승 했지만 이것이 끝이 아니다.
-You have turned the table to its original place.
▶I find it worthwhile in having had practiced through the holidays without resting. My mind now is purely focused on winning on this Friday and advancing to quarter finals. I won a match, but this is not the end.
-오영종의 전략은 예측했나.
▶커세어까지는 어느 정도 예측했다. 그러나 타이밍이 내가 생각했던 것과 달라서 조금 당황했다. 뮤탈로 침착하게 시간을 끌 수 있었던 것이 승리의 요인인 것 같다.
-Have you predicted Oh Youngjong's(Anytime) move.
▶I predicted as much as Corsairs. However, I was a bit confused because the timing was off. I think I was able to win because I kept it cool and earned some time with my Mutalisks.
-오영종전 3연패를 끊었다는 데도 의미가 있을 것 같다.
-You might find it meaningful that you have broken the chain of three straight losses against Oh Youngjong.
▶1차전을 하면서 정말 긴장을 많이 했다. 그 때문에 패했던 것 같다. 그래서 오늘은 침착하게 경기를 진행하는 데 가장 중점을 뒀다. 오영종 선수는 언제나 의외의 전략을 준비하는 선수이기 때문에 대처를 하기가 쉽지가 않다. 그래서 많이 패했던 것 같다.
▶I was really nervous on match no. 1. I think I lost because of it. That is why I mainly focused on playing it out calmly on this match. Since Oh Youngjong is a player who always prepares an unexpected strategy, countering him is not easy. I think I lost many games because of that.
-금요일까지 시간이 촉박하다.
-You do not have much time until Friday.
▶시간이 많이 부족하다. 오늘 경기를 준비하면서 잠깐씩 신 백두대간도 연습을 해 봤는데 많이 힘들었다. 어서 빨리 숙소로 돌아가 연습을 해야 할 것 같다.
▶I am running out of time. I also practiced Shin Baekdoodagan while I was preparing for today's match, but I found it very difficult. I have to go back to dorm as soon as possible and practice.
-8강이 눈앞이다.
-The quarter finals is right in front of your eyes.
▶아직까지 스타리그 8강에 한번도 오른적이 없다. 이제 한 발짝 앞이기 때문에 더욱 욕심이 난다. 처음 스타리그에 올랐을 때는 프로게이머를 시작한 지 얼마 되지 않아 뚜렷한 목표가 없었다. 그러나 지금은 다르다. 욕심도 많이 생겼다. 반드시 8강에 진출하고 싶다.
▶I have yet to advance to a Starleague(OSL) quarter finals. I long it now even more that it's just a step away. I had no specific goal when I played in Starleague the first time, because I had just become a progamer back then. It's different now. I have much avidity. I want to advance to quarter finals at any cost.
-프로리그 일정까지 겹쳐 힘들 것 같다.
-Since Proleague schedules overlap, it's more strenuous for you.
▶아직 스타리그 준비 때문에 본격적으로 프로리그를 준비를 하지는 못했다. 금요일 경기를 준비하며 프로리그도 신경쓰겠다.
▶Preparing for Starleague, I was not able to start practice for Proleague. I will set my mind on Proleague also while I practice for this Friday's match.

-3경기까지 끌고갔다.
-You have elongated the set to match no. 3.
▶추석 연휴때도 쉬지 않고 연습했다. 1경기에서 패한 것이 너무 아쉬워서 연휴 내내 연습에 매달렸다. 3경기도 함께 준비하긴 했지만 아직 부족하다. 어서 돌아가서 연습하고 싶다.
▶I have practiced through the Thanksgiving holiday without rest. I was much distressed about the loss in the first match that I strained myself on practice through the holidays. I practiced the third match also but it still need more work. I want to get back soon and practice.
-후반 드롭공격을 너무 고집하는 것처럼 보이기도 했는데.
▶상대방의 방어가 너무 좋았다. 계속 실패해서 나도 많이 흔들렸다. 그러나 그 때문에 병력이 분산돼 센터의 병력이 흐트러져 있었다. 그래서 중앙돌파를 성공시킬 수 있었다.
-You seemed to stubbornly persist in attacking via overlord drops in the late game.
▶The opponent's defense was too good. I became emotionally unstable that it failed repeatedly. However, because of that, masses of units were spread all over resulting in thinning the center mass of armies. Due to that, I was able to successfully penetrate the center.
-추석 연휴 기간에 연습은 어떻게 했나.
▶일단은 정명훈 온라인 연습생과 함께 했다. 추석 연휴 내내 도와줘서 많이 고마웠다. 덕분에 오늘 승리할 수 있어서 기쁘다. 숙소에 거의 혼자 남아 연습했는데 팀의 연습생 테란들이 많이 도와줬다. 이 자리를 빌어 고마움을 전하고 싶다. 특히 오늘 사용한 전략을 알려준 이건준 선수가 가장 고맙다.
-How were you able to practice during the holidays.
▶I mainly practiced with Jung Myunghoon, an online junior teammate. I won because of him, and I am happy that I won. I want to thank him through this opportunity. Especially, I want to thank Lee Gunjun, who taught me the gameplay that I used today.
-금요일까지 시간이 많지 않다.
-You do not have much time until Friday.
▶오늘 경기를 준비하면서 3경기도 같이 준비했다. 오늘 경기는 무조건 이긴다는 생각이었다. 어차피 내게 남은 길은 이제 승리 뿐이다. 어떻게든 이기는 방법을 생각해 낼 것이다.
▶I practiced match no. 3 while I was preparing for today's match. My plan was to win today's match no matter what. Needless to say, my only way out is to win now. I will devise a plan to win by any means.
-토요일 프로리그도 있는데.
-You also have a Proleague match on Saturday.
▶일단 프로리그와 겹치는 맵들도 많고 연습 해 둔 것이 많기 때문에 그렇게 큰 문제는 되지 않을 것으로 본다.
▶Since there are lot of maps that are both in Proleague and in Starleague and that I have practiced all along, it won't be a big problem.
-8강까지 한 발짝이다. 각오를 듣고 싶다.
-You are a step away form the quarter finals. What is your resolution.
▶이번 시즌을 시작하며 팬들에게 만족스러운 경기를 하고 싶다고 말했다. 그러나 이제 생각이 바뀌었다. 결승에 오르고 싶다. 오로지 이기는 것만 생각하고 있다.
▶I have said on starting this season that I wanted to play only the games that the fans will be satisfied with. Now, I have had a change of heart. I want to advance to the finals. I am only thinking of winning.

-최초로 8강 진출을 결정지었다.
-You are the very first to advance to the quarter finals.
▶게임 도중에 앞마당 언덕에 드랍을 당했을 때 앞의 선수들처럼 나도 1대1이 되는 것이 아닌가 하는 생각이 들었다. 나는 원래 다른 선수들과 같이 가는 것을 싫어한다. 그래서 승리가 더 기쁜 것 같다.
▶During the match, when the dropships came on the hill of my front yard expansion, I thought of the set score being 1:1 like the players who played before me. I do not like to follow suit along other players. I think I am more happy with today's victory because of that.
-테란전 연승을 달리고 있다.
-You are running a series win vs Terran.
▶내 테란전의 기본 마인드는 똑같은 유닛으로 싸우면 절대 지지 않는다는 자신감이다. 같은 종족 싸움에서는 자신감이 경기를 크게 좌우한다. 자신감이 승률에도 큰 도움이 된다.
▶My fundamentals in going against Terran is the confidence that I will not lose no matter what if I fight with the same units. Confidence is what makes or breaks in same race dog fights. It greatly helps in winning more games.
-8강에서 만나고 싶은 상대는.
-The player you want to encounter in quarter finals.
▶어느 선수가 올라와도 상관 없지만 개인적으로는 전상욱 선수와 붙어보고 싶다. GO팀에 처음 입단했을 때부터 꼭 맞붙어보고 싶은 선수였다. 팀 내에서 자주 패했기 때문이기도 하다. 내가 입단했을 때 상욱이는 이미 스타리거였다. 이제는 동등한 위치가 됐으니 꼭 한번 겨루고 싶다.
▶Although I do not care whoever advances , I like to fight Jun Sangwook(Midas). From the moment I became a member of team GO, I wanted to fight him. That is partly because I often lost against him during practice games. When I became a member of the team, Sangwook was already a Starleauger. Since we both are on the same line, I want to fight him.
-추석 연휴 때문에 연습이 쉽지 않았을 것 같다.
-The practice must have been inconvenient because of the Thanksgiving holidays.
▶오늘 경기는 느긋하게 준비한 편이다. 예전에 맵을 착각해 연습해뒀던 것이 있기 때문에 본격적인 연습은 연휴 끝나고 이틀간 열심히 했다. 혹시 몰라서 우리 팀 (주)현준이에게 아카디아2 빌드를 짜 놓으라고 부탁했는데 쓸 일이 없어졌다. 만들어 뒀다면 나중에 꼭 사용하겠다.
▶I practiced today's match with emotional ease. Since I have practiced on this map by mistake a few days ago, my real practice lasted for two days after the holidays. Just to be safe, I asked Hyunjoon, my teammate, to devise up a build on Arcadia 2, but I do not need to use it after all. If he has it prepared, I will definitely use it later.
-8강에 임하는 각오를 듣고싶다.
-Your resolution on entering the quarter finals.
▶매 경기를 마지막 경기처럼 여기고 열심히 하겠다. 매번 8강에서 좌절했는데 이제는 욕심이 난다. 반드시 우승까지 차지하겠다. MSL에서 우리 팀 선수들이 잘 하고 있으니 스타리그에서는 내가 잘 하겠다.
▶I will play diligently on every match as though they are my very last match. I was defeated on every quarter finals, but I want this, now. I will win the finals no matter what. Since my teammates are doing well in MSL, I will excel in Starleague.

-오랜만의 8강 진출이다.
-It has been a while since you have made it to quarter finals.
▶운이 좋았다. 초반 8배럭을 시도했는데 오버로드를 일찍 발견해 방향을 쉽게 잡을 수 있었다. 요즘 선수들은 실력이 다들 좋기 때문에 운이 좋아야 이길 수 있다.
▶I was lucky. I attempted 8 scv barrack, and found the overlord early making it easy for me to pinpoint the direction. Since all the progamers are very skilled nowadays, one has to be lucky to win.
-승리를 예감한 순간은.
-The moment you thought you won.
▶마지막 변은종 선수의 러시를 막아내고 난 다음에 내 병력이 많이 남아있어 승리를 확신할 수 있었다.
▶I was confident that I won after defending Byun Eunjong's(JJu) final attack with much of my units alive.
-8강에서 변형태와 만난다.
-You encounter Byun Hyungtae in quarter finals.
▶지금 활동하는 프로게이머 중에서 테란전을 가장 잘 하는 선수라고 생각한다. 나를 만나고 싶다고 했는데, 나는 별로 만나고 싶지 않았다. 스타리그 올라온 선수들은 모두 다 잘 하는 선수들이기 때문에 만나고 싶지 않다. 그래도 어쩔 수 없이 만났으니 이길 수 있도록 최선을 다 하겠다.
▶I think he is the best vs terran player among all the progamers. I do not want to fight him that much, though he said he wants to. All the players who made it to Starleague are very skilled and I do not want to fight any of them if possible. We met nonetheless, so I will do my best to win.
-테란전 승률이 가장 낮은데.
-Your winning percentile on vs Terran is lowest(compared to others)
▶연습할 때의 승률은 그렇게 나쁘지 않은데 이상하게 방송 경기에서는 테란전 성적이 썩 좋지 않았다. 그래도 최근에는 많이 극복해냈고, 변형태 선수가 테란전을 워낙 잘 하는 선수이기 때문에 그에 맞춰 열심히 연습할 것이다.
▶My percentile is not that bad during practices but my vs Terran on broadcated matches are not that great. I overcame it recently. And, since Byun Hyungtae is excellent in fighting against Terran, I will practice very hard accordingly.
-우승 전선에는 이상이 없나.
-Is there any bad signs on winning the league.
▶이대로만 계속 갈 수 있다면 어렵지 않을 것 같다. 지금까지는 운도 많이 따라줬고 좋은 경기 펼칠 수 있었다. 계속 이런 운이 따라줬으면 좋겠다. 제주도에 꼭 가고 싶다.
▶I think it won't be too hard if I keep it up like this. Lady luck was on my side the whole time, and I was able to perform good matches. I hope she keeps on following me. I really want to go to Jaeju Island.
-추석 때 놀이공원에 다녀왔는데.
-You went to an amusement park during the holidays.
▶재미있었다. 거의 5년만에 처음 놀이공원에 간 것이라 마음껏 놀고 왔다. 무서운 놀이기구도 많이 탔는데 무섭긴 했지만 경기석에서 게임하는 것 보다 무섭진 않았다. 놀이기구는 안전을 보장하지만 경기에는 승리가 보장되어 있지 않기 때문이다.
▶It was fun. I enjoyed it very much; it has been five years since I went to such place. There were many scary rides and were actually scary, though they were not as frightening as playing on the booth. The rides in the park guarantees my safety, but the victory is not guaranteed in matches.
