I want to talk about a few things, hopefully you've calmed down before reading this, so you don't discard it off hand. This is a fun D Ranked League. I would like to think that about 95% of the people here, are here because they want to have fun in a league type format with teams and all that. Most of them aren't here to improve but to just see how well they/their team does. There is no money on the line. No trip to Korea. Just plain for fun. Some may get really involved in it, and strive to get better and move on to CRTL. 5%, and honestly I think it's a smaller amount, are here to troll and feel good about beating D ranked people and think it's fun. So what? They'll get bored of it and move on after awhile if that's the case, unless there is a particular person that raises a shitstorm after every single week about it, then they keep doing it because they get their kicks and their shits too. This is only the 2nd season, I expect people to still be in a great, fun mood about this. I was sad I missed the first season and I'm glad to get this chance to be apart of season 2. It is making me get my old BW fire back and wanting to get better at the game. I want to ask you a question. Are you playing this for fun? Or to get better to become a better player? If yes to the first question. Then you need to calm down and just enjoy the games and the matches with your friends, whose team you're on. Create fun strats that S2Glow can have fun casting on the stream. A clever Cannon rush or offensive Hatchery is always a good time. =) There is nothing on the line to get upset about. If yes to the second question. This is what you need to do. You need to stop bitching in this thread. You lose, you get upset, you flame on the forums. Grow up. You need to put more time into the game. I mean REAL time. Stop playing UMS, stop playing your friends. You need to find someone you know is better then you, shallow your pride, accept that you suck at this game, get humble, and learn. Don't just watch VODs. WATCH them. Korean or English. Both. UNDERSTAND that Pro's don't just do a build because it works and use it every time on every map. There are key differences that takes awhile to pick up on. You don't pick it up overnight. ANALYZE replays. Wins and losses. Do it alone. Do it with a higher ranked partner. If he sucks at helping you. Ditch him. Get somebody that will HELP you. I started playing BW since '98. I didn't start TRYING to get good at the game till '04. I didn't even hit a low C Rank till just before SC2 Beta. This game is HARD to learn. It is NOT easy. If you said yes to both questions. Do all the above. Stop filling this thread with so much nonsense. Please.

Although it's true that there are a lot of new scrubs on ICCup, overall I think competition has stiffened and especially given the bastardization that SC2 causes to a BW player's skill in BW, a "low C rank" at beta release would be definitely much lower now. As a relevant aside, has sGs.Music's opponent answered him at all? What's the policy on people who do not answer to rescheduling requests and (presumably) did not show up on game day? Either way we need an update on the situation because it is a match point for us.

That coming from you is just hilarious and can't be taken serious because of the single line... We've already coverd this ground. But you're new. I was a low C before SC2 Beta. Almost 2 years ago. I am nowhere near that level. Period. I've played this game long enough, and with the right people, to know where I really stand in terms of skill at BW. But one thing I do have, that most D level's dont, is the knowledge of HOW to improve and to do it efficiently because I've already spent 3-4 years before SC2 beta playing with EG and [LighT] members, who gave me good, constant feedback that I will always remember and appriciate. Will I get back to C level? Maybe. Depends how much time I'm going to deticate to get back into BW. Training my hands to remember keys correctly. Remembering how to stop certain builds diffrent ways on the 100's of SCBW maps there are, against the thousands of diffirent players that have their own playstyles which I have to memorize. It's not easy, and I don't have as much time anymore to deticate to that. I'm playing this for fun and to see how far I can help my team. We've already set a goal as a team. If we win, the whole team will try out for CRTL. Even if we're not close to that skill level. Because we're having fun and are casually wanting to see how far we can go. If we don't win, some of us might move on to CRTL for a bigger challenge. But people need to stop toting this A B C D E Letters around like the word of God, and that it's the final judgement to any case. If I just 4 pool. I can easily get to C-. Easily. I did it all the time back when I was younger. I would imagen Iccup is alot easier now that many of the better, causal players have stopped playing. Ecpicially since many casual Korean's have left for other servers, since they know not many good foriegn or pro Korean players dont play on Iccup anymore. It's alot easier to get a higher rank these days, but I know where the true skill cap used to be. So does anybody else that was actively playing the past 8-9 years on Iccup.

You can also even see proof of this on his stream. The sheer sight of a D+ Protoss fucking terrifies Gao. He also has only beaten Koro like once out of 345838458345 times and Koro is a C- zerg. If Gao was actually C- or better then the winrate would be close to even. Sent hit C- a few years ago by only playing bad zergs on python who couldn't defend 9/10 gate on Python. He also played Neo Requiem when it was motw and dodged pvp while playing pvt (LOL) and 2gating zergs who actually thought 12hat was viable there. However, he stopped laddering once he hit C- and never actually tried to keep it vs other C-. Records like "19-6" are also incredibly misleading nowadays when there are a huge amount of players from sc2 on iccup. Playing low D/D- people all day doesn't make anyone C- either. Also, since when does 3raxing tvp and pulling scvs equal borderline C- in skill? Haha, sorry Gao, but I can definitely agree that Shuruken isn't C- level just yet. He needs to work on so many things.

I'm sorry you don't know who I am. I'm sorry you can't do a little research before claiming someone is new. And I'm sorry you have to portray such a condescending tone via the internet. Also you should play in C league since it's where you belong anyways... I know you signed up for CPL back in '09 with Roffles on the same team. Roffles was someone I used to help from time to time. I remember you, and you're still the same now as you were back then attitude wise. I wasn't trying to portray a condescending tone, but this is writing and not speech. I apologize if the tone sounded wrong. Good luck in CRTL. I'm glad to see you did improve since CPL in terms of game skill.

I apologize if the tone sounded wrong. Good luck in CRTL. I'm glad to see you did improve since CPL in terms of game skill. Again with the attitude. Seriously kid, spouting this Holy than thou bullshit is irritating. First I'd like to ask, who here gives a flying fuck you practiced with Light and EG members? Was that relevant at all to the topic of you, a C player at one time or another participating in a "D RANK" League? I really don't see it. If this is how you get your name out there and people to look up to you, awesome. I'm not buying it, since it obviously didn't help you at all. And you sit there and tell eywa how to improve as a player...if you have this vast knowledge why are you "D" after being C two seasons ago? it's not like you suddenly forgot build orders and mechanics. After so much practice with all those EG and Light players you must have created some habits...so must have learned some little tid bits that give you an advantage. You know what you're problem is, it's not that you're merely D/D+. It's that you're scared of losing. Had you the balls that a lot of the better D league players from last season had you'd be playing in that league. You'd be stoked to practice with the likes of Lumire, Dsyxelic, Wallace, DryWater, Fold, S2Glow...but no, instead you make excuses that 2 years of time is enough time to completely deteriorate your gaming capabilities at a mere C- level. You know why I have an attitude on ladder, because people like you spouting off how awesome they are when they win with their proxy gates and cannon rushes. You're not good, you either a caught the opponent by surprise or got a BO advantage, you aren't good, you're just good at all ins, Congrats. If this is anything like C league it was created to have players create groups of friends with people they might normally be in contact with and set up practices to help IMPROVE. How are you helping D/D+ players and even yourself improve when you advocate retarded builds in posts? Here comes the explanation on how they need to defend cheese and transition afterwards and how cheese is part of the game.... Well to be honest playing standard, learning how to play standard and learning slight transitions off of standard are how you learn to become a better player. not getting 12 people to cheese you once a week for a win. And then those people come in here thinking they're fucking badasses because they went undefeated vs a bunch of D players. Listen every one of you D players in this league. You want to get wins or do you want to get better as a player? One is a fucking lot harder but one is a lot more rewarding than the other and gets you those wins without looking like a dick every week. Want me to explain my attitude back in 09' compared to my attitude now? Back then I was a D+ player who wanted wins without the ladder effort and practice effort. And I would rage every time I lost because I thought I deserved that win. but you know what else came with that? after raging so much, I eventually sat down and stop bitching about losing and laddered my ass off. You remember TSL2? yea first season at C rank, you remember ISL2? Yea C+..You know why because that was my goal. And my goal now? Qualify for ISL3 and win C league and eventually hit B-. And you know what. I achieved every goal I set for myself in BW so far. I'm going to achieve these. That the fucking attitude you're talking about? THe one that got me from being in a better version of this league to where I am now, playing against some of the best foreign BW players in things like GC, ISL, and CL? I'm sorry that this attitude offends you, but it's who I am, and obviously people accept me for it. You know the reason? I ladder, I practice, and I improve...hell I'm coaching TAKK and advise them on builds. Ask them what they think of me. I bet you get positive feedback from most of them. I'm not here to make you happy, I'm here to be the best fucking BW player I can be, and if that means raging at a couple people to motivate myself then so be it. I love how people like you bring that up as if it's supposed to strike fear into my heart. Like I'm supposed to cower because I was and still am BM at times. I bet you never rage quit a game. I bet you never BM'd a player in ladder. May he who is free of sin cast the first stone my son. I will gladly go through all 500+ replays from this season and pick out every single one I was BM in and post it here because I could care less. Back on topic. When I signed up as a coach. I had the understanding all players were D/D+ and MAYBE low C-. Not previously C rank players, or even smurfs. And I also was under the assumption this league was geared toward creating an atmosphere for learning and fun. Not asshattery. I'm no longer extending my coaching to just TAKK. Any D ranks player looking for practice. I will attempt to help you become a better player. simply send me a PM with your Skype or your ICCup account and I will take time out of my schedule to watch replays, VODs, practice BOs, Practice Micro, or simply talk you through something. I'll do my best to help you improve as a player so you won't need ridiculous cheeses to win games vs your peers. Here's an Ultimatum for you reaver. You play in D league until ASL ladder starts up. you finish in ASL ladder above 50% or above C- while actually trying: You drop out of DRTL and Join my team in CRTL. You don't do that? I drop this whole thing right now. How will I see if you're actually trying? Shimys know how to send me your reps. Why make this Ultimatum? I know multiple players who are doing the same thing because they are the fringe players. If they feel comfortable playing C- players they know they don't belong in this league and they feel they are depriving other D players that privilege of playing player their level. Disclaimer: Shimy told me not to post anything to anger you because you're casting ASL. Well He's the organizer and I am merely a sponsor, whatever I said in the post is my own thoughts not his.

I am willing to forfeit every game for the rest of the season, after they are played, so you can have your wins if they are so precious to you. Both of you are coaches, i dont see any of your players complain? T3 vs TAKK was a very pleasant thing yesterday, got to play bad)seed that was a great, manner person and we played a super game on circuit breakers. No hard feelings, just good ol fun and some discussion afterwards about the builds. I brought up some issues with my computer and said that if i drop out of the game i might not come back he should just take the win. He replied "nah man i want to play the game" - and i think that pretty much sums it up for 99 % of the people involved. Getting a w/o sucks. Getting a potential "C-" is absolutely fine. I dont complain betting beat by Shuruken in the finals of last season? It was a super tense ZvZ, i got BO advantage but he pressured with lings so i couldnt make mutas, and consequently won. I dont see how that makes him a pro gamer. Regarding psy: Psyonicreaver has been allowed to play this tournament. He was in the draft, and since we were second last season (And the #1 team dropped out) we had last pick in the draft. no one picked psyonic, and since i recoginzed his name from somewhere, and we needed a protoss, we picked him up. Any other team could´ve picked him up easily. Its not like we´ve drafted him in an evil scheme to win this tournament. He is actually - together with Newburg - the only new recruits we have this season. Our team is arguably one of the strongest this season due mostly for us improving, and somewhat for having some new players. Mind you, some of our best performers last season doesnt play anymore/doesnt play that much anymore. Cheers, and please no more BM in this thread, it makes me sad

Also, if you're trying to improve, doesn't it make sense to play against better players anyway? Specially if you're actually preparing for your games. Last season I beat Skeggaba handily when he had already hit C- and was at 2900 at that point. We both kept playing and improving and damn I'll be lucky if I can take a game off him now; but that makes me want to get even better so I can beat him again. In fact, the reason of having this sort of rivalry is why I've been studying TvZ to the point where my understanding of the match up could be considered decent now. Sure, my mechanics still suck but once you know what you're supposed to do, it's easier to do it in game. In the same way, losing to Psionic Reaver in that practice game a couple weeks ago, has led me to want to improve TvP even more. I doubt that they're too good for this league, because I'm yet to hit D+ myself, in fact I'm closer to D- this season. If you really care about improving, you shouldn't care about who you play against. In fact, you should be happy that you get to play against ppl who are supposedly 1 or 2 ranks above you, because that's the best practice you can get IMO IMO. If you're playing for fun, then do that and have fun. PS. PsyReaver I want a rematch next weekend ![]()

For my game yesterday, I knew I was probably going to lose and that I would be most probably worse then Skeggaba, but I tried to fix my PvZ because of this. Hell I even asked for a replay from a clanmember, because I saw he played him and talked to him, which strategy would be the best. And even this small conversation with a clanmember helped me to improve my PvZ a little bit. And this is what this league is about. It is a incentive to get better. So what if you played a gamer which is much better then you? He can show you your weaknesses the best. Watch the replay and learn. But it is maybe to hard for some people to not have a 10-0 as their statistic, so they blame the other players for being too good. I'd wish all the players in the league would be like Skeggaba, he was mannered and skilled. I was really pleased to play him ![]()
