You should probably consider re-binding your keys tho, it helps out a ton. You have to customize it to meet your needs tho, do you hotkey your nexus to 098? If so, do you like it (does it feel comfortable)? If you hotkey your nexus' to 456 you should probably have probes on E or S, it makes it way easier to produce workers.

These are things i highly recommend newer or returning players to think about. If you're gonna practice you might as well do it efficiently, it's important to start creating good habits early. Think about how you wanna position your gateways (simcity), how you wanna macro (f key or hotkey gates), where you want to rally your gates and how you wanna utilize your f keys (fkey on nexus' or gates or rally point?) etc.

Obviously this is only assuming you wanna practice to improve, not just play to have fun. If you wanna improve you have to practice with a purpose, set goals for yourself. We all have different postures and position our keyboards differently so you really have to come up with a layout that works for you.

There's too much luck/diplomacy/bullshit in 8 player FFAs for there to be a concrete answer to this, but I'd wager that Protoss is well-off because of Mind Control being an important asset in long games like this.

Protoss is imba in FFA, especially on 256x256 maps because of canons and HT and arbiter/carier. You can protect many expansions by making canons and keeping 1-2 HT there (kills any amount of drops / muta / wraith / scout etc.) and add cariers with statis to statis enemys army.. No talking about recall so you can move from one side of a map to another. :-)

I would echo the others and say Protoss, carriers, arbiter, mass cannon, HT, mind control etc. just makes it the best on these humongous maps.

Protoss just have an universal response to everything. Z or T has to commit to either strong anty ground/anty air and with a cost of mobility. (making a 200/200 mech makes it only good when you have few bases and never attack..)

Zerg is also quite ok for defending but terrible for attacking. Using hydra / defiler / nydyus you can quite easily protect most bases, but in long run P will always kill you.

256x256 ffa is basically protoss >>> zerg >>> terran. Terran is far too slow, and unable to do much with a fragmented army. Zerg has good fragmented armies (they can defend successfully for a while against almost anything with just some defiler lurker hydra, they can pull off damaging attacks with just small amounts of defiler lurker ling), but the big mobile armies are so fragile compared to what protoss can show up with. Protoss has the by far cheapest defense while also being fairly mobile and having a lot of splash damage in their more powerful compositions.

Zerg can do some good stuff with queens (be really diligent about parasiting, for one), sometimes they can get to crush 'typical ffa mass capital ship army' really well. But that again hinges on protoss not taking advantage of their full potential - the dark archon is the ultimate ffa spellcaster.

Are there any guides on how to do TvP terran timing pushes? I read the liquipedia article and while I thought it was pretty helpful, I feel like it doesn't give enough intuition about when to siege and unsiege tanks.

This is mostly a skill you develop with more experience I would say because it depends a lot on how much army each side has and where it currently is. I would say you usually siege up when you are just getting in range of your opponent's army with 1-2 tanks and then only unsiege your back tanks and crawl forward. But if there are only a couple of dragoons at your natural you should not really siege but a-move them until he groups up with his main force. Scanning the area ahead of you as you are moving is also helpful to know when the Protoss is about to engage, so you can siege as forward as possible.

So whats with the afreeca stream list in the sidebar, not working unless u visit the main page then search for the streamer. Everytime i use the teamliquid link it gives "stream has ended due to an error"

i want to know why the replay section is so inactive. Last one is tt1 vs ggaemo and thats like a year old rep.

If I may venture a guess, it is because of the advent of non-rep viewing functionality. Double and single FPV. HD VodS, etc. All push replays into the subculture further.

If it is BGH or some other map with infinite resources then Protoss.

Otherwise Terran may be better then Protoss, but there is no much difference.
