You're still assuming that Leta knew how many p's he pressed. Who knows, maybe he thought that he pressed three. There is absolutely no way to know. I don't know why you are arguing that a perfect execution of typing three p's in a high intensity environment is necessary. Especially when something screws up with your monitor (even a little bit can throw you off).
Plus your paragraph about spellchecking is full of fail. It argues against what you seem to be saying. Plus you state that the reaction time of humans is 1 second. That's obviously not the case or else driving would be a much scarier place.
I'm not really going to continue to argue with you unless you actually bring something semi-intelligent to the table. Right now I have no idea what you are arguing and instead you sound like some rampant angry caveman through your first post.

Anyone who knows anything about SC will know that you cannot just sit there doing nothing for 20 seconds and not suffer massive advantage. Even 5 seconds will cost you. Leta doesn't have the luxury of just sitting there and type "P"'s all day.
Your just saying that he has no time to type ONE letter more because his opponents gets an advantage because he can't play in that 0.1 sec?

Simply that conceding defeat by typing anything other than "GG" or "gg" will result in a DQ and a warning.
Someone got slammed just a little while ago for typing "ww" instead of gg.

You're missing the point, smart guy. Leta did not PURPOSELY choose to disobey the rules, but in the heat of the moment, especially with a malfunctioning screen, he HAD to rush to get the game paused and therefore cannot be bothered to double-check.
What you're asking Leta is to take time to PROOFREAD what he wrote several times on a flickering screen, which obviously takes more time than 0.1s

Yep, here's the thread. Interestingly, even though Ruby's a relative no-name, AND it had no influence on the actual outcome of the game, it still got itself five pages.
Now that a well-known team ace got hit, and it "mattered", true nerd rage is being unleashed.
The more I think about it, the more I think that while the disqualification is too much for a pause mistake, the rule itself is fine. A warning for the pause thing should be enough.

I'm not assuming he knew how many he typed. i explained both cases. here is the part where im assuming he didn't know:
2. if he's unsure he can still backspace and type "ppp" again. and yes he should take the effort and backspace if he's unsure, because its clearly stated in the rules and he should knew he gets DQ for this Reaction time is about 0.3-0.4 i checked that now. Still ALOT more than you need to press one single button on the keyboard. (the 1 second i mentioned was from car driving actually.....uh totally ur example. source: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schrecksekunde, its only german and the english entry for this doesn't exists but im not trying to get more info to make it clear. ask germans to confirm its 1sec in driving.) Please tell me why my part about spellchecking argues against myself. Stop insulting me every post. thanks

I distinctly recall watching a game recently where the REF called for a pause with 'pppp'. KeSPA needs to DQ its own retarded ass.
Edit: Thinking maybe it was Canata/Shine in MST? Reedit: Nope, that wasn't it. I'll keep thinking.

who would have thought that typing exactly 3 p's perfectly in less than 0.1 seconds blindfolded is the most important skill in starcraft if you mess that up you lose the game instantly and threatens your career as a progamer

im happy you totally confirmed my point. The whole reason for my post was to say that comments like "monitor was broken he couldn't check what he was typing" are stupid. you just said he had no time to check in the heat of the moment. So monitor not needed. correct?
like i said i totally agree with the rule being stupid.

This is stupid, you're in the middle of a game, I can understand the GG one but if you SERIOUSLY need a pause in the middle of the game your main concern is getting the game paused because something is wrong, not doing a perfect request for a pause. This scenario doesn't prove it because from what I've read it was in a down time area of the match, but what happens if it's right before a battle and something like this happens?
I think this is just kespa pushing it too far, this rule is unnecessary, handle it by scenario not by a generic rule to be applied to every situation. if someone types "FUCK YOU PAUSE" you wouldn't handle it the same as someone going "PPPPPPPPPP" for pause.
Meh, poor leta, he got screwed imo this rule is useless to make the players be that specific mid-game on a pause where anything could make or break the game sometimes.
/end rant

Uh... hey there. I really don't understand what you're trying to say. It's not like the fact that he didn't need to see to type changes anything. Well, what most people are saying is that Leta thought he typed "ppp" and since he couldn't see his monitor there was no way for him to know that one of the "p"s didn't go through. 1. He can know he posted 2. But ok lets assume he didn't 2. if he's unsure he can still backspace and type "ppp" again. and yes he should take the effort and backspace if he's unsure, because its clearly stated in the rules and he should knew he gets DQ for this (ofc the rule itself is stupid, sop lets not talk about that, leta has to know its important to make sure he writes "ppp" instead of "pp") 3. Like i said before, even if he noticed that he typed just "pp" then he still would send it because the reaction time is not 0.1 secs (the time he needs to press the enter button after his last p) Dude, you gotta realize that the game IS STILL GOING ON because after the issue is resolved, the game will resume where it stopped. You're missing the point, smart guy. Leta did not PURPOSELY choose to disobey the rules, but in the heat of the moment, especially with a malfunctioning screen, he HAD to rush to get the game paused and therefore cannot be bothered to double-check. What you're asking Leta is to take time to PROOFREAD what he wrote several times on a flickering screen, which obviously takes more time than 0.1s im happy you totally confirmed my point. The whole reason for my post was to say that comments like "monitor was broken he couldn't check what he was typing" are stupid. you just said he had no time to check in the heat of the moment. So monitor not needed. correct?
Obviously, your ability to judge whether you typed something correctly would be further impaired if you could not even see clearly what you're typing, making his mistake even more forgivable.
However, I am also saying that even if the screen was working perfectly, it's still a dumb rule to uphold because under the pressure of a match, it's unreasonable to ask players to divert their attention from the game to concentrate on HOW TO PAUSE THE GAME properly.

Ok, we know that Fomos didnt interview Kal, not to mentioning about this
But, what about Leta, no media interested in listening what the affected player wants to say??

Just stop it man. You're making a fool of yourself and you going on to defend the things you said in your first post over and over again is only making it worse.
The main reason people are annoyed about this seemed to have passed way over your head as you argue about pointless stuff and seem to be more interested in nitpicking apart people's post. The reason people are annoyed is that anyone can make the mistake of typing one letter more or less into the chat. Should that cost them the effort of 12hour a day training and a good overall game performance do you think? Do you find that reasonable? If you don't please stop trying to defend your initial points because they all point to the fact that you do.

Yes of course. i have the same opinion. Rule is stupid and kespa shouldnt DQ leta. I'm just posting against people who try to make kespas decision worse by saying "omg kespa is stupid because he didn't even saw what he was typing.

if i met that guy on the street i'd probably just punch him in the face and carry on walking.
