In this one, Lambo and I have a wonderful conversation ranging from his start in SC2, to the future of the scene, and a lot more. This is one of the longer form pieces I was able to film in Riyadh, and I'm glad it was with Lambo. I've been meaning to film with him for some time, so it was great to finally get it done. I'm very pleased with the end product and hope you all are too. Cheers!
Lambo raises good points about SC2’s longevity, passionate players and a loyal fan base keep it alive. It reminds me of exploring https://valismaa-kasiinod.com/arvustused/kasiino-kingdom/, where legacy and evolving content coexist. Even without major developer push, strong communities and grassroots events can sustain SC2’s competitive scene for years.
I wouldn't base the fact that classic is doing well to protoss being strong. He's done no worse than top 4 this year, and I would still argue protoss is the hardest race to pose big results with, though if what we're saying is that protoss was dogshit before and that it not being dogshit anymore has helped him, then that I agree with, if not in terms of direct results then to the motivation of those results.
I like the cyclone bug and see it bringing more dynamic to sc2, we even see mech in tvp, though the success hasn't been on the lvl of the play rate. Being mad about a good change that wasn't meant to be there only makes sense if you had some faith in the developers in the first place, for what we know it could've been placed there intentionally by one of them, and is it then even a bug. Good riddance to the cabal of sc2, I'm just happy it ended on a good patch.

Is there ever a period where you claim anything other than Protoss being dogshit though?
HotS, end of WoL and on the last blizz patch they finally rectified what harm they've done to toss on lotv. There were times when toss weren't weakest in 2017 and 2022 as well, now it's hard to say which race is weakest, so balance is probably good, we know that because ppl are finally whining about protoss again, all of the times that this didn't happen means protoss was severely underpowered.
