As for now disconnects are not counted. This is bad news. The bot disconnected again, and once again a hard fought victory is not counted ... If I had known this I would of saved the hassle of fighting through the laggy game and just left. I'm assuming the bot is contributing to the lag here.

I wonder what it would take to get this running on us-west? If OP would be willing and the costs to run the bots/servers?

Though it seems like all we need on West for quality high level BGH games is to have teams balanced so one team speaks English and the other team speaks Spanish I would like to have those leagues on other servers as well but because of lag that might be difficult in host mode. It is possible in client mode. That would require users to host games themselves and later upload replays. This app would only provide balancing mechanism and database/webapp. The problem with this approach is that its prone to hacking/cheat so I'm not sure it is the right way to go. BTW. I've changed mmr calculation mechanism to include player APM in setting the initial score (first 4 games). Later mmr changes are only dependent on match results. All scores were recalculated. Also listings contain now average eAPM for every player.

Here's my thinking — There are more active BGH players on the West server — There average skill level seems to be slightly higher on West — At the same time, there are players of all skill levels on West
2) Would it be possible to implement some kind of MMR exclusion algorithm that would kick a player whose MMR is too far from the average MMR of the game? — For example, when everyone is over 2000MMR except one player is 600MMR. — Or create a "B+" or "A+" bot?
3) What would it take to get another bot running and how can the community support your initiative?
Thank you in advance, and kudos for for your brilliance! 1) Because of lag, running on West server is troublesome. I might consider it in the future but first I want to set up more EU instances. 2) Yes, but I don't know if people will like it. For instance, it would ban the best players all the time... Without them, this ladder will make no sense. In addition, it would make the system less transparent to users and from my experience, the simpler it is the more people join. 3) I just need some more spare time to work on this

Player Angel. left the game after his try for a canon rush failed. Bot does not report the result. Is this a legal trick to avoid a loss? Only play the complete match if canon rush worked? If not, just leave?

Angel. been reported multiple times but seems he knows how to avoid the banhammer.

When someone leaves before 3 minute mark the game is not valid, also if all players leave before 5 minutes. This is in place, so all-in tactics don't affect players' MMR.

Rastamasta and Savageboy both leaving once game has started. While we even spoke earlier about people who left after game has started and then they do the same after chatting about it xD

Thanks a lot. I think that these rules make sense. But it is always annoying if someone takes advantage of it. At the end we will not change their minds.

What is the idea of banning people if they just change their name?
"Angel. " is now playing under name " Angels. " and doing the exact same thing.

I don't recall being bad mannered in words as a reason for ban, unless rules changed. If this is the case I have 30 more players to report. I think banning Angel causes the precedent for more of crybabies reporting everything what causes their in-game frustration (Angel's cannon rushing in this case).

I disagree your excellency.
Angel has played over 1000 games of bghmmr and should be able to behave like a normal person, instead he talks shit at all times and leaves games he dont like or seem to have lost after 2-3 minutes.
There should be some quality standard.

maybe temp ban is the solution there

Maybe we played with different Angels, because I haven't seen him "talking shit" even once.

I can't really keep people from playing those games but losing stats should be enough motivation to avoid team killing and trash talking.

Bad manners were used as the reason for bans before. At the same time I want to avoid people reporting every instance of one player calling someone else noob. I think a good rule would be to only ban people who repeatedly use vulgar language towards other players.
