I checked out Sovanis stream. I was very impressed by his calm behaviour and game sense. He constantly dodges matches though. I would like to see the d+ bot come back again so it would be less of match dodgeing. Personaly I dont mind playing with the F players which have 35 % winratio or above but some of the F players have like 25% winratio and even though I dont dodge those matches it is a little bit frustrating some times. I still love the bot!

I've added races to Leader page. As for resetting I see two problems. Firstly as Liquid`Drone pointed out when you reset your stats you make other players play imbalanced games before you settle for an accurate score. Secondly, the main problem with seasonal resets is the quantity of matches. Let's say there are 1000 active players and you need about 10 matches to get to roughly correct MMR level. With 50 games a day that will take 200 days - more than half a year. That's why I'm not so hasty to throw away data that was gathered already. That's not to say that players who got better couldn't benefit from a fresh account in the existing system. With time the MMR updates get smaller and it's harder to make big leaps in score later on. But I think that problem needs to be addressed without discarding existing data. | ||

Though there are a few things that I would love to see in the future: - A diverse map pool - Allies spawning next to each other (its possible in UMS and your ladder does not depend on standard BNET stats, so it not much is lost here) - You die when the last building of your team is destroyed, instead of your last building. - You can send minerals and gas to allies (could be realized with beacons and invincible civilians in a corner of the map) | ||

If I can't join any of the lobbies, how am i supposed to meet the requirements? Am I missing something, is there another bot running for placements or soemthing at a different time? | ||

Another thing I've noticed is that players win/lose a normal amount of points for an unbalanced game. Shouldn't the points be adjusted for each team based on how unbalanced the game is? Doing this would also lead to less dodging as it there is greater incentive for the unfavored team to play. | ||

IMPORTANT: Make sure they have you added too. Then you go to the "Create" button on the left, then you type "3v3 BGH" into the lobby name section, then you click "Host" or whatever and then they will get notified that you made a 3v3 BGH game, and then they can go to their friend list and join your game. One thing that might be good and accepted is letting dead players observe. This can be done by making some immortal item in the game with no changes to the actual gameplay. I believe most people would want this, but I don't know how will they react to UMS? It was some many years ago when I was playing with UMS maps but from what I remember it was quite powerful (Turing complete?). I would be happy to make a map that would also register things as first blood, produced units and so on. Right now this information is not available in replay alone. That could be very useful at estimating MMR. Every time the bot banns somebody it whispers the reason for the ban. In case of not enough custom games the message is: You have to win at least 20 custom games to play balanced games. It can be easy to miss as you imminently leave the lobby, but that's the reason. That's less than 3% of more than 1000 monthly players. I guess at this level their presence doesn't bring anything to the team. Negative MMR would make sense if someone was actively harassing/attacking teammates and those people are banned, so I guess there is no need for this. As for weighting games based on MMR difference, you are of course right. That should work, and I've implemented it to work, but somewhere in process I've made a bug that didn't calculate the difference correctly and all matches were weighted as perfectly balanced. I'll look into it and correct the score, as soon as I have some spare time. Thanks for pointing this. Win/loss mistakes are relatively rare, but they still happen so this requires more work. By that I mean colors that are either invisible on the minimap (black, grey, navy) or undistinguishable from each other, like all those damn tones of white. Is there any way to do that, whether in melee or UMS ? | ||
