Does anyone know what team jinnam and jinsu played for before they joined AMD?

i think AMD hijacked the dream team, so they're one and the same

nobody is asking you scrubbers how much you practice. if you do not have direct knowledge of the subject matter, you really should keep your anterior inholes shut.

tenbagger, no doubt xellos is probably practicing his ass off to prepare for yellow. that is why i assumed that he started practicing tvz even BEFORE he knew who his opponent was. however, i find it unlikely that he practiced ONLY TVZ 10 hours a day since he rocked boxer. If you factor in tv appearances, prep for other matches, as well as practicing tvt and tvp (i seriously doubt that he would neglect those two MUs for almost an entire month), it doesnt seem reasonable that he had enough time to practice vs zerg 10 hours a day for the past 3 weeks.

why would he prepping for any other match? I'd bet that 100% of his effort is going into the OGN final.

oh, ok. i forgot that you knew him personally and knew exactly what his schedule is like.

hey ejai, obviously I don't know his schedule. I'm stating my OPINION and the reasons why I came to that conclusion.
obviously, you have a different opinion. You also are unable to express it in a civil manner and must resort to low forms of sarcasm. I on the other hand will list all reasons why I came to that conclusion. You can choose to comment on it like an intelligent human being or you can make a smart ass sarcastic comment. The choice is yours.
Reasons:
1) Most koreans that I know practice like fucking crazy at whatever they do. 2) Boxer practiced 10+ hours on a daily basis on his rise to stardom. 3) I've watched a lot of vods, occasionally with korean friends. Many of those vods have brief interviews of pro-gamers and there has never been an instance where a pro-gamer would say he regularly practices less than 6 hours a day. 5) This is their fucking job! People work 10+/day in many other industries on a regular basis. 6) This is the biggest prize in pro BW. Anyone in his position would be insanely motivated. Anyone who has spent his most of his life working towards that goal would be even more motivated. 7) The goal at hand is to beat yellow. If a boxer is about to face the biggest championship match of his life, he spends all of his time prepping for that specific opponent and not whoever may come after that. The next point supports this one. 8) He has not made any other tv appearances after qualifying for the finals. Notice that xellos the captain of GO, did not appear in the KTF ever pro league last round. He has appeared in every match until then and right when he's preparing for the most important match of his life, he misses the match. Coincidence? I don't think(ejai, I said think, not know) so. Common sense says that his manager took him out so he can concentrate on 1 matchup (TvZ)
So in summary, do I know for a fact that xellos is practicing 10+ hours tvz over the past couple weeks? no, but I think I made a pretty strong case. Ejai, if you make a strong case, I'm not so stubborn to insist that I'm right. I've got an open mind so please state your case.

well "back in the day" the top RA(c&d red alert) players easily did 5hrs+ every single day for months on end just to keep in top shape(you really had to click fucking fast in that game, even tho the game was about as simple as they come) , and I mean its not like any money was on the line...just reputation among us fellow geeks. I'm sure it was really worth all the effort as they are no doubt among today's progamers

its impossible to make a strong case, because ALL evidence is circumstantial at best. we have a difference of opinion, and i respect yours, despite disagreeing with it. I admit that my estimate of 5 hours a day may have been a little low, but i still insist that practicing only tvz 10 hours a day is too high. Unless xellos is practicing some completely new strats, he wont increase in skill that much no matter how much he practices.
the reason that pro gamers may have practiced 10 hours a day before they reached elite status is because they were still improving a lot at the time. once you reach a certain level of anything, there is a diminishing marginal return on the effort you put in. When boxer was a newb, he was learning so many new things and increasing in skill very quickly. a few hours of extra practice probably meant a lot for him. however, one he became an sc god, he probably realized that practicing for 10 hours a day is stupid, because the difference between playing 10 hours and even 5 hours was probably marginal at best.
Think of it this way: before the masters, does tiger woods increase his practice time by a huge amount? before the nba finals, do basketball players practice much more? yes, you have to factor in fatigue, but the players know that they will not get that much better in that short a time period. i think the same applies with sc. xellos is already damn good at tvz and has practiced and played against top zerg players for hundreds (maybe thousands) of hours. its not like he hasnt played these maps before, or isnt familiar with how yellow plays. to make another analogy, its like taking the sats in high school. if you try to cram in a ton of studying two weeks before you take the test, it likely wont help that much, sicne its testing you on stuff that you should have been learning for a long, long time.
