EDIT: Seems server running again but I never witnessed something like that where I can connect but can't pass login screen so thought they nuked me. Also this news is driving me crazy so I don't know what will happen tomorrow T_T | ||

Why would they not set up a system where foregners can pay a 1 time fee of 10 usd to play? Just ignoring the fact that foreigners slipped into fish and have been playing there for years now is just being ignorant. Like they don' t know what happened yeah. | ||

This is just openly xenophobic. The argument this is a server for Koreans is goofy. Hitler tried to make a country "just for Germans" and that worked out nicely. I honestly hope someone or teamliquid emails fish and tries to get this fixed for us. So unfair. | ||

Lag issues is just one reason. Inability to communicate is a lesser one. An on-average lower skill level is another. They have absolutely 0 need, benefit, and apparently want, to allow foreigners to play. Hating on them for enforcing the same rules that are applied to most other games in Korea only makes sense because you are in the party that lost out. No one likes to be that guy that didn't get a piece of cake at the company party, and will be quick to cry "injustice." However, there is nothing unjust about it. There is still Melee mode, which on average should satisfy a large portion of foreign players in terms of skill requirement. There is still Garena, Gameranger, Evolve, and other clients that support BW. And, if you know anyone who has a Korean #, you can still ladder. | ||
