yeah but then you have to deal with the fact that your CC is floating and all your other SCVs are smoking a joint @_@

That's a buff. Shields don't benefit from unit sizes/damage types and take full damage from all sources. HP benefits from that mechanic so zealots (small size) will take reduced damage from many sources once their shields are down.


It's especially true as very often zealots are used as meatshields and don't benefit much from shield regeneration. Unlike goon/archons in pvz mid-late/late game that you keep alive forever thanks to shield regen and zealot tanking the damage.

Another important point: it's also 20 extra hp remaining after an EMP.


Another point is they can survive a yamato.

step 2 select something else.
step 3 hold alt and click on one of the units you boxed with it will select every unit you boxed with.

Uhh...no you couldnt. Right click came about in a patch, and a patch quite a few years after the game came out. I didnt notice it until 2006, and I played the game since 1998.

edit: and it *was* a patch that added it, not the b.net version.

Isn't this pretty well known? If you don't know this then you need to rebuild your control groups from scratch every time new units pop.

Or if there is another way to add units to existing groups, this thread is the perfect place to mention it. Anyone? ^^

if you have a large vessel cloud and want to see which ones have energy for irradiate, tell them all to irrad a unit far away (it can be your own). you can separate them even quicker by telling all vessels to move in the opposite direction first. same with any caster unit & spell.

yes! I've used it for queens and broodling but it actually makes way more sense and has way more practical application for vessels. :D

There is a guy operating the missile turret - look carefully at the wireframe.

You can "ping" on the minimap in 2v2 games (I think it's alt+click).

You can use the move command on an unit and put it on another unit - and it will follow that other unit (although a bit slow). It's useful for observers and overlords, especially in 2v2 when you want your units to follow ally's units.

Infested terrans die when you attack move (at the spot where you ordered them to attack).

You can set rally point to a nydus canal.

You can EMP comsat stations, to make the opponent lose scan for some time (I think this happened in some TvT where one player massed wraiths)

When a dropship/shuttle/overlord with units inside is flying somehwere, you can click on the units in it, so they will drop, but the dropship/shuttle/overlord will keep flying.
