I don't play cello, all of the songs were made with soundfonts I've scoured the internet for over the years (play violin and guitar, but don't have a good enough mic to sample myself).

That's what I hate about being an artist, you always think your own stuff is shit (unless you're Liszt/Wagner)
Keep it up! You're doing great!

I think the compo is pretty good but the instruments sound too midi-ish maybe 'energize' could benefit from a slightly slower tempo

sounds like one of the good videogame tunes you would hear on some of the best old games. Its good

I like it. Energize is literally playlist material. The other ones are too thematic for me (obviously by design). Not bad at all though.
0/10.

Energize floors me. It's absolutely stunning from start to finish. I especially love that theme that starts from 0:55 to 1:12. Wintry White makes me smile as well

Keep it up! You're doing great! Bullshit, my phone tells me my most listened-to artist is me.

I use sibelius and sibelius sounds but the sounds are shit. Would you happen to know what I could do to improve that?

I'm not super familiar with Sibelius sounds, and the last version of Sibelius I used was 6 (I basically write all my music in the sequencer I use, Reason, now). There's a lot of inherent limitations to Sibelius playback since you can't edit the samples manually, portamento & slides suck, it lacks reverb controls iirc, etc.
Is there a way to import your own soundfonts into Sibelius (.sf2 or .sfz files)? Otherwise there's not much you can do I think. Sibelius just isn't meant to replace a proper DAW like Cubase or Ableton.
hehe

I'm just really used to sibelius after using it for something like 7 years now. Thanks for the advice.

There actually is! I'm not too certain about the specifics but it's possible on 7.5 and probably possible on earlier versions.

I'm certainly willing to share my collection of orchestral soundfonts if any of you guys would like them (theyre all in .sf2 format, though you can easily convert to .sfz using Polyphone).

Too much highed pitched sounds. Bad balance with the bass backbone of the song (talking bout energize). The rythm gets repetitive (the alien sound in the background) and is used from start to finish which is a overkill. Otherwise not bad if you aimed for a soundtrack kind of thing.
