And looking back at their last bo3 Naniwa looked more solid. Go back 20 games if you want. Derp right back at you. I find these 'automatically 1 up' rules utterly ridiculous, why do people do them?

In double elimination the player coming from the losers bracket needs to beat the player in the winners bracket twice, one to knock him in to losers and once to knock him out. It just means everyone has two chances instead of one.

It's certain that you get access to VODs. Most likely they will be announced on taketv.net. You have "just" to be patient as TakeTV and the ESL sometimes take their time to upload the VODs. This event is somehows supported by the ESL. They have "tracked" all matches of the HSC 3 as you can see here. The replays can be accessed through the matchdetails (in this case the tiny litte blue info link). As the players played there games on any given Notebook in the gaming room or on the "main stage" it can take a while to gather all the replays and upload them. Not sure if the ESL result page was posted here somewhere. Maybe it's worth to put it in the first post. Groupstage: results groupstage (klick on blue info link of each game) Playoffs: results Playoffs (klick an the tiny little "vs" of each game to access the match details)

Yeah we know that - because the loser has HAD TO PLAY MORE MATCHES to claw his way back to where he was before - he's made one fuckup and has to recover his way there. Then we keep him / her down regardless? Not a fan of the system at all.

Unlike his opponent he just did one poor series, yet still loses. That would be unfair. The most "fair" is to have two series, where the one from the losers bracket has to win twice. This is quite uninteresting though, as such, I very much prefer the one from the winners bracket just getting one map up. In reality, it does give the advantage to the lower bracket player though, as he was allowed to lose an entire series and still win the tournament while the upper bracket player is just allowed to lose one map extra. However, I can take that unfairness as it makes it more interesting.
