I am so glad I'm a vegetarian. I help the environment, AND I don't have to be pressured be environmentalists to eat poop! :D Totally worth having almost nothing to eat at restaurants. ^^

I'm impressed, that is a very creative solution for waste management to say the least. 1:35 of the video made me do a double take, a fridge labeled "shit burger" would make me think twice about keeping my lunch in there.

I don't believe anybody would pay the same to eat this as a normal steak, but I can definitely see it used in places that are less picky about their food, where it'll stop people from starving.

The end product only really has one thing in common with the beginning product. A similar process is drinkable water from waste treatment plants, if you ever take a tour of those places, they will always give you water (secretly or otherwise) from the out pipe (depending if the plant is designed for drinkable water afterwards).

In this case, it's protein instead of water. However I would think that it would cost much much less just to run the waste through a treatment plant, and process the solid waste to use as fertilizer.

If you go about it how everyone in this thread is thinking so far, you might as well consider most farmed plants as made from animal feces.
