Gamerbase is proud to announce the return of Starcraft Saturdays! Each fortnight, gamerbase will hold a Starcraft 2 tournament with fantastic prizes to be won! Registration closes 12:30pm Start time 1pm.
There is no entry fee for each event, although you will need to purchase credit to participate in the tournament; day passes are available in your local Gamerbase and this includes full use of your centre’s PCs throughout the day, enabling you to play some casual games beforehand, between matches and after the tournament results are announced.
The tournaments will be Round Robin consisting of 4 groups, the top players will then progress to a single elimination, when matches played from that point onwards will be best of three. When the best of three matches are about to begin, competitors will have the option to remove two maps of their choice from the potential map pool. Depending on number of participants stucture can change on day.
Upon arrival at your local Gamerbase centre, please alert a member of staff to your presence and inform them of your battle.net account username. If you do not have your own battle.net account, you are welcome to use a Gamerbase battle.net account.

Gamerbase simply played host to this, It's not true they have paid out in full now as far as i'm aware. Also Gamerbase have put in steps to stop that from happening again.

3rd Gamerbase Saturday is about to happen in 2days. Make sure you support it by attending if not make sure you watch the livestreams which you can find the links for on the register page.
|
The 4th Gamerbase Saturday has been announced.
Note: There is a change to the prizes for the next event. A frag lotto prize to ensure everyone that plays has a chance of winning a prize.
Also the next event falls on the same day as the iSeries after much debate I decided to still host the event on this day. We will be missing players like Lau, Deranging and Tyles (Good Luck guy's). The bracket should look quite different for the next event and hopefully see some newcomers.

I'll probably go to the one of these on the 30th , seeing as i42 is next weekend ;D
