So i finally bought me the orange box last week.
spent the last week playing tons of tf2 which is amazingly fun. usually i only like the really competive oldschool online shooters (quake,ut,painkiller,ET for example) but tf2 is just amazing.
still have two tf2 guest passes left. im not sure how long you can play with them and the download isnt exactly small so keep that in mind. so if youre like me and still havent playd tf2 this is your chance to get hooked :>
and dont worry about not beeing able to catch up. overall decent fps skills will help alot and i already unlocked like 35% of the achievements and have most of the good equipment within just one week.
(btw if someone is wealthy in tf2 and has some free stuff for a beginner i gladly take gifts ~ )

tf2 is a great casual game man. Even when you've played it a bunch you can still get a ton of laughs from it. Ived played it again a bit since the saxxy awards. Still fun and still gets updated!.

Could I get a guest pass? :3 haha, played once at a friend's house but never got around to actually buying it... getting a little uninterested in SCII lately lol
EDIT: oh wow TF2 is only $10 right now... really want to get it...

tf2 was the only game in the orange box i didnt really like all too much. its fun for a while but in the end i want to either play starcraft or have a solid single player game with a good story
but it gave me some laughs, like a hat for 15$ or accidentally joining a "trade server" or what ever that was lol.

If your seriously getting into tf2 i might sugest you look into the comp scene (imo playing comp is much much much better than just playing on public servers, its like an entirly new game) .Iv been playing competitively for about a year now and i must say iv had more fun playing comp tf2 in the last year than any other competitive shooter (played CS:S and BF2 for a long time).
Check out own3d.tv/tf2tv for casted vods of league and tournament matches (mixed skill ranging from div 6 to prem, mostly higher level games tho.)
http://www.vanillatf2.org/ for all your tf2 news related needs.
tf2lobby.com this is the place i started out ,gives you a good idea of the comp scene without having to join a team or anything (be wary that alot of people how play lobby realy arnt that good or are just trolling so take lobbys with a grain of salt but gives you a basic idea of the 6v6 play style)
ETf2l.org the home of european TF2 ,for finding teams ,ladder and league play.
And finaly if your looking at buying a server feel free to PM me as i can get you a nice discount due to my current teams sponsorship deal or if youve got any questions dont hesitate to ask ,sorry most of the links are EU specific im not to big on the NA scene.

Really not worth it IMO. Was a great competitive game but then valve decided they wanted to make easy money and absolutely destroyed the balance of the game with dozens of ridiculous weapons.

you do know 95% all "new" weapons are banned in comp play? at least in eu its vanila + med (krtiz ,ubersaw, and blatsauger however its spelt) only.
yeh pub was kinda ruined by all the unlocks but then again most pub is just 32 man spam fests anyways.
EDIT: hang on a tick just read your name, are you THE jaeger from Col?? if so massive fan haha.

This, the competitive scene is dying and really not worth it anymore in my opinion. Valve doesn't even bother catering to them anymore really.
Also big fan btw, but I love EG's team too.
