For an example, is it possible to search for only replays where a terran player wins? I tried this with a blank name, and terran & win selected, but it didn't work.

By default Sc2gears shows real time values and real APM, but you can switch back to in-game values in the Analyzer tab of the Misc settings dialog.

By "rep folder" I assume you mean the folder under your account (where SC2 saves replays). Replay auto-save works this way: after start-up Sc2gears listens for replays that have a last-modification date newer than the Sc2gears start-up time (which are saved after Sc2gears has been started). If a replay is auto-saved by Sc2gears, then Sc2gears will look for replays that are newer than the replay last saved by Sc2gears. So I assume the replays you download and copy to your replay folder have a date which is after your computer's current date. Can you check this? If this is the case, then Sc2gears will not find newer replays that would be after the one you just copied to your replay folder...

That is what I thought as well, because Huk's computer is set to some funky-future date so they always fuck me up. However! The same thing happened with the MLG replays and they are from a timezone thats in the past so....

Modify your SC2 auto-replay folder so it points to the unsaved folder only (and not your whole account folder), for example: c:\Users\xxx\Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\xxxxxx\2-S2-1-xxxxx\Replays\Unsaved\Multiplayer\ And if you copy downloaded replays outside of this folder, it will not interfere with Sc2gears at all.

How does SC2 handle the supply count in-game? Do you have any idea how it works - is it possible to extract that info during a game automatically? I understand that replays do not store supply information, I just really think it would be useful to have an ability to set up a script that automatically plays through a replay on x16 or whatever and records the supply as the game progresses. My dream for something like this would be to solve the question of what supply differences mean in terms of who is winning - we all know that zerg on even supply vs terran in the midgame is probably in trouble, yet commentators still talk as though the players are even. (This is especially true in TvP, where I feel no one has a clear idea of what differences in supply mean). I would love to see someone do something like this: -acquire 1000+ masters+ replays -record the supplies for both players every minute of game time for every game -record each player's race, the map, the start position, the game length, and who won Then analysis would be easy. Simply look at winners, and ask how predictive supply differences are at each phase in the game. If someone is up 20 supply 3 minutes in to the game, I would imagine that leads to a win at least 90% of the time, for example. On the other hand, even supply 1 minute into the game probably doesn't predict anything (50-50 chance of winning). I would calculate relative supply difference as well, which is probably more informative than absolute supply difference: absolute = S1 - S2 relative = (S1 - S2) / (S1 + S2) (This corrects for whether the supply difference is occurring early game or late game, i.e. 20 - 10 food (.333) is a larger difference than 190 - 180 (.027)).

Sc2gears operates on replays and as you said, the supply count is not recorded in the replays. I did not investigate how to get this info during a game, Sc2gears does not interact with SC2. To calculate the exact supply count (and minerals/gas), the game engine would have to be recreated.

Doesnt work so wlel because I have so many accounts, but I think what happened is just that SC2Gears kinda crashed --- because I noticed it was behaving SUPER sluggishly, aside from not saving games. I just assumed I had the same problem with the newly downloaded replays as I had with the ones with funky dates, but I dont think that was it. EDIT: Yep, restarting it solved it. Sorry to have wasted your time.

Analyzed: 31 Skipped: 2 Total: 31 Why the program is skipping 2 replays? From the top of my head i think I had a few game that the opponent just left on the first few seconds, so maybe is that, but Im not sure. Can you clarify that for me?

The multi-replay analysis by default excludes games that are shorter than 2 minutes. You can change this limit on the Analyzer tab in the Misc settings dialog.

It's just a bit cluttered right now. An option to delete columns would be great! :D A filter option has been added, will be included in the next release.
