may as well have got more European players if you're going to do that, its expensive as hell to fly over there
i dont have any interest in a bunch of no name koreans dont watch then lol? Thats probably the worst thing that could happen for MLG
the whole point of even having koreans in their tournament is to make it more prestigious. if its just a bunch of random guys whose nationality is Korean then it isn't very interesting. Less views -> less ad revenue and less sponsor interest
You are aware of how a business functions, right "lol"?

lol. thorzain beat MC once in an online tournament and now everyone is saying like he's the best player on the planet. Look how he choked at "Road to Korea". Naniwa won nothing but 5k in MLG so far. so funny. Ace is just a code B player. There are about a couple hundred players like him in Korea.

To those saying GSL supertournament will interfere, or that they wouldn't want to waste the break time on a 2 or 3 day trip to America. The MLG lands right in the middle of the round of 32 and since the MLG isn't something you can very specifically prepare they have a 6 day period in which they have to fit one round of 32 match and the 2-3 day trip with 2-3 days to rest/practice no matter what.
They could theoretically send anyone to the MLG.

TSL is nothing like MLG. MLG is an offline (well technically B.net >.>) event, so everyone has equal latencies. TSL is obviously the opposite. TSL has weeks in between every MU. MLG has an hour or less sometimes.
In tournaments like MLG, solid players shine, like Jinro, IdrA, Naniwa etc. Players like ThorZain who prepare meticulous Build Orders against there opponents do not do so well in tournaments like this, but rather tournaments like TSL. Afterall "the best foreigner terran" lost pretty early in his only big offline event, The Gathering.
Although this is an opinion, most people will agree that Foreigners are in general the creative inovative players... and the Koreans are the solid, mechanical beasts. That's why Ace Moon and Squirtle dominated IEM... but the Koreans got destroyed in TSL. Everyone will be on equal footing in MLG... but more importantly, players like ThorZain (I don't even know if he's going to MLG, just an example) don't have any time to create build orders for each specific player, and will fall to simply solid players like IdrA... Naniwa.............. and the Koreans.
The players who are successful in tournaments like TSL and GSL does automatically mean they will do good in events like IEM and MLG.
HOWEVER. Players can be both of these 'types' too.

As someone living in Columbus, I apologize to all Koreans coming here expecting to go sightseeing. Columbus is damn boring.

Ace for foreign events.

Fixed, and yes I live in Ohio.

looking forward to watching MLG now!

Who are these streamworks guys? Which other events have they been responsible for?
It was only a matter of time before more and more Koreans jet to international tournaments. One 64 man tournament every other month isn't enough to sustain all the Korean pros out there - even if it's the biggest in the world.

I'm sure the Koreans will want to fly all the way to America miss out on practice time, get tired as hell then travel all the way back to participate in a much bigger tournament. Seems logical to me. not all of them have to play on the first day, fuck probably only a 5 out of 64 have to play on the first day and an other 5 the next after that.

Something to look forward to

Lol, and now MLG stream will crash again because they will have even more viewers than last time.
He better be prepared for 5x the viewers...
