at least now we can hope to be able to see the matches live! :D that's a step in the right direction MLG, rock on! Yeah, it /looks/ like this could be the most solid stream outside of GSL. I scoured streamworks' website, as well as a bunch of Sundance tweets - the stream setup is very impressive:
- Satellite link-up - Redundancy all over the place - 5 data centers via streamworks distributed worldwide - No Octoshape (haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, plus streamworks has their own Flash player, apparently)?
I'm curious as to how much $$$ MLG is dropping on this setup. Looks crazy expensive.

Would better fit in Sweden or Germany.

MLG to expand to Europe, South America

I wonder..... are the Korean teams going to get invited to the relay race? Would be hilarious to see that. Can't wait for MLG Columbus, hope all the problems get fixed this time around.
|
i hope streamworks can deliver unlike justlag.tv or the setup they used on the last mlg.
|
Send some email to Korean Air - filthy rich company especially asia-NA route is real big cash cow for them. Send like"Be sponser GSL players too Korean Air!!!"
|
You have to give props to MLG for going out and getting Tastosis if that's true, along with 4 Koreans. Just shows that they are making a real effort for SC2.
As far as the logic behind why they would all come over, I am sure MLG is fronting some money. It would be a smart investment if it at all increases the over all value and validity of their Starcraft 2 tournament.

Be patient announcements coming VERY soon. Really good and exciting news, as we try and take MLG to the next level for the SC2 community.
|
It will probably be difficult for them to deal with the severe jet lag (almost opposite time for am pm) and then have to fight all the way through the open bracket. Yet, it almost makes me feel bad for the unknowns who are trying to get through open bracket at Columbus, almost....
|
Gah. I want to go to MLG so bad now! :O
|
Oh my, this is exciting news. <_< I don't think that they'd have tasteosis out though would they? It seems awfully expensive when you have day9 in the country. I can understand them flying tastetosis out for blizzcon though :D That was epic (albeit weird with day9 there too :D )

HUK pulled it off last MLG . He was seeded, but I imagine it will be similar for whoever they are inviting (for the benefit of everyone I think)
I hope Huk goes to MLG... unless he if doing well at the GSL super torney.

This is fantastic news, alongside previous news that they would hire additional casters to cast off-stage games or replays. However, I will miss the Decorah baby eagles stream if MLG Columbus works near flawlessly.
|
I just hope we get to see the tournament this time without any techncal hiccups with the stream. Dont want to watch Mr.Eagle again.

That's not nice.
