Well great, now the foreigners won't have a shot at winning it -_-

Would be strange if there was no koreans at MLG, they have already been at several euorpean tournaments.
I am not young enough to know everything.

Does this clash with the Super Tournament? If so, a lot of the top Koreans won't be able to make it.

Games won't be played during MLG and I think if GOM is in partnership with MLG, I would think they would reschedule matches for players leaving and coming back from MLG. So it could still be Super Tournament players.

speaking of partnership hm...

this is cool, but considering the MLG seed system, you need to be significantly better than almost everyone attending to come from the qualifiers and take the tournament in the manner of nani.

so while it will be nice to mix it up with koreans for more drama, it won't be anything worthy of citing in assessing the 'skill difference between regions', which on the whole is a bad concept for people to be following, since this skill difference thing is only relevant in any sense for ladder -and the order is quite clear there anyway- not for the top level of players.

Soon euros won't have to fly to America to participate in MLG.

would prefer if they just stay in america, we have decent tournaments here already, mlg would just embarrass our continent.

whoa whoa whoa...no one has asked or answered the most important question in relation to this rumor...

Will the Koreans be participating in the relay race?

I'd pay to see the ST team with July as their anchor.

Highly doubt MLG Columbus will have the same problems MLG Dallas did. They got some great people this round to ensure that does not happen again.
Cannot wait to know which Koreans will be going though Makes the trip a little more worthwhile!

It all depends on if they will let MLG take a marketshare, Dreamhack is really the only one in europe able to make MLGs plans crash and burn depending on how they will work with SC2 in the future.

Now they have only had som invites and DHS and DHW. IF Dreamhack would make a euroleague they would give MLG a headache. Until something like that happends MLG will probably fill a need not being adressed in europe at the moment. ESL have failed and pulled back almost all leagues outside of Germany.

well if the internet problems really were a local issue, then it should be fine. plus they are going to over-prepare for columbus if anything after the dallas failure. i'll at least wait for day 1 before paying for HQ though =X

Yes, they have lot of trust to regain. That trust is only obtained by an excellent production and a better run tournament.

What people most remember from Dallas is the stream not working, but the production during stream time was not so impressive and players were complaining about scheduling issues and lack of information.

MLG needs to up the ambition on all levels to make the stream a success. A part of this is a nice line up of players, but we must be able to follow them and not watch so much dead air time as in Dallas.

Why would they even travel all that way to MLG for such a tiny prize pool :o Team exposure?
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

It should be pointed out that GOM isn't going to play *any* super tournament games during the MLG weekend. They posted a schedule during one of the more recent broadcasts that specifically pointed this out. So, there was something up already known at least 2 weeks ago.

Also, pretty much *everyone* good is qualified for the Super Tournament. Along with the foreigners over for the World tournament. So, there's going to be a possible solid mix of people around for both the Super Tournament & MLG. Oh, and Tastosis will be at MLG as well. (And Day9 might be casting GSL as well, we don't know, but he'll be in Korea...)
