Hahaha, what a great contribution to the thread. Good troll. We'll see if anyone takes it seriously. (MLG was in Dallas literally two months ago, will be in California and "the northeast" (Rhode Island) later in the season). Anyway, I'm excited to see how this MLG goes. It's always a pleasure to watch, when the stream works.

(both were in europe when they played). So don't think it'll be korean dominated like you think, especially when its only 4 and they have too go through the open bracket.

Isn't that what koreans are SUPPOSED to do? Dominate the foreigners? But he can't manage to stay in CODE A in GSL, albe it considering that it's a live event and others are pre-recorded, also adding to the fact he's not that great of a player. MC, naniwa, white-ra, Inca, HuK (too soon to tell maybe) Alicia...all better players. Not saying he isn't a GREAT player but ACE is nowhere near top in the world, maybe top 15~20. But that's it. Ace lacks the blessing from the Gaming God Norazi, despite being Korean, therefore his power level drops from 'best player in the world' to bad when playing in a Korean tournament.

What I want to know is if it's worth it to spend my weekend at the tournament in person or if it's just as good to watch online from my house. Come in person, nothing can replicate that experience. Plus you get to hang out with the amazing SC2 community, it will be a blast.

The three days of MLG Columbus are off, but they would still have to travel halfway around the world and probably wouldn't be performing at their best in either tournament. Who knows though, maybe we'll get some of the Koreans who haven't been as successful in the GSL (MMA, Lyn, BoxeR, Leenock, Moon, JJUN, Squirtle, AcE, and YuGiOh). They're all great players and could all compete at the level of MLG.

And with a company like streamworks involved, i am sort of hopeful about the broadcasting potential :p How can it fail with a name like "streamworks"? It has to work! oh god. If the stream doesn't work, I can already imagine all the terrible troll image macros.

If 4 people are coming, they are probably spending more money on travel, hotel and food than there is total prize being given away by MLG, it just doesnt make sense. When does it ever make sense to send players overseas when even first place might not even cover expenses? I'm guessing whoever sponsors them pays the bills for travel, but if they are paying for it themselves I'd call it stupid. If they are doing it for the lols then whatever. :o) Besides, MLG is not as hard to get into unlike GSL which requires you to be Grand Master then slogging through Code B for a chance at Code A. You finally qualified and you get into lower tournament? At least MLG everyone plays in the same tournament. No safety of up/down matches. And all you need to qualify is $70

They visited 8 team houses (ST, IM, MVP, SlayerS, ZeNEX, PRIME, TSL and HoSeo) and had a tournament within the teams. It looks like the winners of the 8 CotH will fight for the spot. So far the winners of the CotH have been. 1. ST - July 2. IM - Junwi. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=222492 EDIT: Made a mistake in the earlier post.. seems like it's just 8 fighting for 1 additional spot. Meaning there will be 4+1 Korean there?

I think the tournament section needs a new structure to be able to promote all the tournaments better. Now gold nuggets like this get eaten up by american college leauges and europen 100 dollar KoH etc.
