When changes make it to the PTR, they are usually at the "we're probably going to implement this modulo tweaks that public testing reveals" phase of design. This is because it takes a significant time (and consequently monetary investment) to release a new build suitable for public consumption even though it's on the PTR.
That being said, there are cases in sc2 history when PTR changes have been revoked, e.g., the infestor fungal growth-as-missile change.

How do you make your workers stay on the closest mineral patches without moving over? Whenever I try this I end up wasting mining time.

Spam right-click the mineral until the other mining worker returns minerals to base, then they will alternate in sequence.

For example, on Shakura's there can be no close-position spawns (in ladder version). Are there more of these hints, especially concerning b.net-Ladder-Maps?

ad.1 it' not efefctive, closer patch are better ad.2 as Z if u send (for example on Shatered Tampe) 1st Over to crossposition and 2nd one to close position they will scout them in the same time ad.3 8

NASL videos are on justin.tv which requires justin.tv's ios viewer (which costs $5 on the Itunes store). Unfortunately it is an iphone app and according to comments, the player doesn't scale up when run in full-screen on the ipad.
IPL videos use some proprietary flash player (probably the one ign uses for all their video content). So there's no way to currently view them on an ipad.

how do archons fare vs roaches?? are they viable? having a hard time when the zerg gets enough coruptors to kill my colussus and i seem to get rolled when i go anythign else.

Archons do pretty well against any zerg unit, but I wouldn't go straight for them. In the situation you mention where the Zerg has an overwhelmingly large corruptor force, you may consider switching to gateway/immortal/HT. When your HTs run out of energy, then merge into archons, but there's no need to make archons pre-emptively.

I'm a mid 40 ranked Terran Diamond and I haven't laddered in over a month because I hit a stump last time and had a bad losing streak, and just had this fear of laddering. I think I'm ready to jump back in, but this time I'd like to go in with a different mentality.
I don't think I'm at a level yet where I can adapt and respond on the fly to what my opponent is doing... so I'm thinking of going into each matchup with 1 strict BO and just practicing it each time I hit that matchup, win or lose. That way I can at least have 3 stable BO's I'm comfortable with, and within the 3 I can start to practice macro/micro/etc.
Could TL please provide me with 3 broad strategy/BO's for each matchup that you recommend I use, or is that too broad of a question? I'm not too familiar with which BO work best for which map (ie: bio, mech heavy, etc on xyz maps...)
Any help is appreciated!
TvT: I plan to go 1/1/1, fast siege + viking, push out asap to contain and use viking for vision, re-inforce as necessary.

Archons to do bonus damage to biological (everything zerg) plus spash damage, the basically rape mutas if not microed correctly. If you having problems with corruptors get stalkers with blink. They're also good against roaches. If you find the Zerg massing corruptors to take out your collusus then.. stop making collosus? Get some immortals and roll the zerg. The corruptors are basically useless and taking up supply for the zerg if theres nothing to shoot, until broodlords pop, in which case your screwed without blink stalkers.
Btw im a zerg player, a toss might say something different

Also:
Make 1-2 thors (or a round of thors, if you prefer), and use them to ward off his vikings or to help clear them.
If you fight his vikings in range of thors (he might not notice them at first) you will get a massive advantage.
At the very least, you have a mobile turret with siege tank range that will fare well if he tries to rush your siege line.
To be fair, its a pretty expensive option, but mid-late or late game TvT its often worth it.
