Also if you turn Map Gridding on, you'll actually see the individual squares that are equal to 1 SI in Starcraft.

I see people edit and cross out words in their posts, how is this achieved? Do they copy and paste it into Microsoft W and cross out from there or is there an easier way to strike through your text?

Watching streams and vods, I notice that terran/zergs often don't make overseers/ravens against protoss to deny observers hovering over their bases/armies.

It seems like the investment is quite small and the benefit potentially large (since having the motions of your 5000 mineral army monitored can hurt you a lot more than the cost of a detector). Overseers are cheap, and ravens have other uses.

Why don't the pros do this? Is it because of the APM cost, or is it not cost effective after all?

Me and my friend getting Problems against Zerg on High Diamond level, we found solid openings against Protoss und Terran and going fine with it but against Zerg they is somewhat a missing "golden threadt"

What would you recommend to be the "solid" opening on TvZ ( no map dependance )

This is not a direct answer to the original question, but I do recommend terran and zerg to always bring detection. The risk of getting raven sniped is even less since TvP engages in less battles than ZvP. Nothing annoys me as a P more than not having vision.

Perhaps the pros don't do it because they can detect the disturbance caused by observer and scan and kill. Still, you can see that they miss it a lots of time, and thus have dire consequences (esp when tanks unsiege and the toss knows it.)

As far as the new patch on the PTR, how sure is it that the patches will be carried out on live servers? Do they ever not implement the changes?

How do you stop a cannon rush as zerg when 15hatcing? im talking about the kind where the pylon is behind the minerals so you can barely attack it, and even when that goes down he builds 2 new ones

On the european server is "LiquidHuK" the real deal?
I matched up with someone by that name and I would like to know, if anyone can confirm one way or the other. His manner was quite convincing, however his playstyle was not. I can edit in a replay if needed.

  • Build a Raven (or even two) and drop a PDD during a Viking battle
  • Build turrets with your army to ward of Vikings.

Is there any situation where you can fast expand ZvT close position on shattered temple? I always end up getting bunker rushed and I can't really stop it because marines stream in so fast. If there isn't a way to fast expand, what is the best all in to do when you see a 2rax?
