i've played a few melee games on brain and the skill level is mostly like D - D+

only played 2 games on fish, both terran players that were a lot better than me. couldn't give you an iccup rank, all i know is i got crushed

haven't played ladder yet, though I did figure out how to.

Brainclan's ladder skill is ridiculously high even at <1000 points. I'm C+ on Iccup and ppl with just 900 or 800 points can crush me like I was nothing obviously there are exceptions but the most of them just rape me.

On fish I can comfortably sit on 1000 points without going up or down. I think anyone could play on fish and use the 30 game rule to practice for the ladder. But on brainclan I would say if you didn't hit at least C- on iccup they are going to lower you down to the "loser" rank easily. I even lost 0-2 to one guy ranked as "loser"

oh great now i cant play on iccup too because it gives me some UDP port error and i can only chat now on iccup
/edit: ok this now works again after reinstalling iccup registryfile

yeah i'm having the same issue with brainclan, it works fine on iccup and fish but brain crashes at that point, at first i read that it was a compatibility issue so set win xp compatibility but that did nothing, so i'm not really sure what the problem is now.

on win7 btw

on the fish server, they use different maps than ones posted at kespa or in their own forums... where do i get korean maps that people are using at fish. they just ban/kick when you try downloading ingame.

Everybody uses different versions. I have 15 versions of Fighting Spirit and 25-30 of Python in my DL folder from the ~110 games ive played on Fish. If you aren't capable of hosting games there is literally nothing you can do except keep trying to join a game.

So does anyone know if it's possible to use the iCCup Launcher on Brain?

EDIT#1: Uhh, 1a2a3aPro your "allscservers" registry file totally screwed up my BW.. I can't join any server now. Keeps telling me "Battle.net was unable to properly identify your application version." How do I undo the changes caused by the file?

EDIT#2: Okay, so the weird thing is that, for some reason, I'm able to log into all servers except for Brain when using the iCCup Launcher; however, when I run BW normally through starcraft.exe, I can't access any server. When using the Mini Launcher, I can only access the Fish server.

I'm having the same problem as some other people posted above: my game crashes whenever I attempt to access the Brain server. Anyone know how to fix this?

just having some questions. is fish and brainclan more populated than iccup nowadays? if so, is it more brutal than iccup and are there any kinds of ranking system in them?

Yes they are both more populated than iccup, and the average skill level is certainly much higher. Even creating public non-ladder melee games on fish, I've had people join who were clearly B- level or above.

Yeah skill level is pretty good on fish. I'm usually on fish server playing 3s on hunters and let me tell you it's way way better than playing it anywhere else.

So I decided to prepare a map pack for brain and fish so that everyone doesn't need to download gajillion maps and one can simply download the pack. Can you tell me which maps do you see the most?

I'll include:
1- Python
2- Fighting Spirit
3- Circuit Breaker
4- Bloody Ridge
5- Aztec
6- Fortress
7- Benzene
8- Empire of the Sun

For now. If you got any more suggestions, tell me.

Anyone happen to have a language solution for Vista? I'd like to keep my Locale in Japanese.

Also can't get APMLive to function with MiniLauncher. Otherwise, I'm enjoying actually having games to play on Fish.

Guys, to play brain ladder, do i have to be logged in for 10 hours straight or can i be for like 5 hours and then turn off the computer and after that for 5 hours more?
