Fantasy GSL has a league-wide salary of 5600 for GSL 6, with each fantasy team restricted to a salary cap of 1500 . There are 64 players total in the league seperated into two divisions: 32 players in Code S and 32 players in Code A. The salary is distributed as following:
In Code A, 3 points are awarded for each match win and 1 point deducted for each lost in bracket play, with 10 bonus points if the player advanced to Code S in the up-and-down matches. In Code S, 6 points are awarded for each win and 1 point deducted for each lost, with additional points awarded for every round the player advanced (final placement bonus: ro16: +10; ro8: +15; ro4: +18; finals: +21 points). Overall, a Code S player has a possible point range of -2 to +111 points, and a Code A player has a possible final point range of -2 to +46 points.
Between 64 to 97 games will be played in Code A, awarding a total of 128 to 194 points (with up to 80 bonus points for code S advancement). Between 70 to 109 games will be played in Code S, awarding a total of 568 to 763 points (including 218 bonus points). The complete league for GSL 6 is scored at 696 to 1037 points.
The expected value of a 1500 fantasy team is between 186 to 278 points. If we use this expected value as a baseline score for an average team, each point is worth about 5.4 to 8.0.
As a whole, Code A is overall better value than Code S. The entire code A will provide between 128 to 274 point at a total salary of 925 . Purchasing the entire Code A is an above average position with points valued between 7.2 and 3.4.

- 50 : 2 players
- 25 : 29 players
Salaries and points are evenly distributed across Code-A, with the exception of clear favorites like MVP (100), Choya (50), and Leenock (50). All other players are valued at 25, including surprises such as Bomber, TheBest, Hyperdub, and BoxeR. Any Code A player that advanced past the ro32 represent high value points for pickup.
Player needs to reach the following round to meet expectation
- 25: round of 16 (8.3~3.6 per point)
- 50: round of 8 (6.3~3.8 per point)
- 100: ro4 (7.7~5.3 per point) or ro8 & advanced to Code S (5.6~4.3 per point)
In contrast to Code A, the points and salary distributions in Code S have an extremely wide range. Players are available from 25 up to 500, and the points awarded are also much more lopsided:

- 150 : 5 players

- 25 : 4 players
This wide divergence is further compounded by the group stage of Code S. Each group are allocated two ro16 spots and will score 40 to 50 points each (disregarding subsequent performance). This effectively mean some groups will has more expensive points than others. For example, Group E cost 850 total while Group F cost 400. This makes Group F players much more valuable than Group E players, without regard to their personal merit.
Salaries of each group
Furthermore, some groups have clear favors that occupies significant portion of the group salary. This made other members of the said group comparably more valuable, since at minimum one other member will reach the ro16. These idiosyncrasies allows for exploitation of the fantasy system beyond the personal merit of each player.
Player needs to reach the following round to meet expectation
- 500 : finals (7.0~5.0)
- 350 : round of 4 (6.6~4.7)
- 300 : round of 8 (8.8~5.5)
- 250 : round of 8 (7.4~4.6)
- 225 : round of 8 (6.6~4.2)
- 175 : round of 16 (9.2~5.5)
- 150 : round of 16 (7.9~4.7)
- 125 : round of 16 (6.6~3.9)
- 100 : round of 16 (5.3~3.1)
- 50 : round of 16 (2.6~1.6)
- 25 : round of 16 (1.3~0.8)
Recommendations
- Majority of Code A, with exception of those that are near guaranteed to be out in ro32 (for example, Lure)
- Group F with the lowest total salary
- Excluding ST.July, Group H has the lowest cost for a guaranteed ro16 spot at 125 minerals
- All 25 and 50 Code S players
