Bussing in this context means getting a scumbuddy lynched to get town credibility, most games don't actually have bus drivers as a role.

Caller was modkilled for inactivity, so banlist for him. On June 24 2010 12:46 Qatol wrote: Okay I'll update the list/ send the warning PM to MooCow. As for Caller, what do people think about giving him a warning? I don't like making exceptions usually, but Caller has hosted 5? games and played in more games than anyone except Ace without any problems before this. Is a warning sufficient? I'd like to hear opinions about him. I'm not trying to play favorites or anything, but Caller has done a lot more work for TL mafia than just about anyone else on this forum. If anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt, it is probably him. On June 24 2010 13:47 Caller wrote: Oh hi~~~ First off, it was my mistake for not reading the modkill provision properly. I didn't see a specific voting thread so thought that voting would happen in the regular thread. I also thought that saying something would have been enough for then, and I was trying to be mysterious as usual. Second of all, I had a very good reason for feigning inactivity, which I won't explain because it involves my intended playstyle for that game and could potentially affect the results. I don't think there's any need to give me a warning here. I did violate the rules, even if I do trollolol my way to victory otherwise. It's perfectly justified to give me a one game ban because as flamewheel mentioned above, justice should be blind. However, it has always been my policy before modkilling someone to spam the persons in danger of modkilling with PMs to inform them shortly before they actually get modkilled. While I realize this is a bit of effort for the host whom already has many more responsibilities and cannot micromanage every single player, one most also understand that people often don't have time to read notifications in the thread, especially when it would be effecting my playstyle. For a more indepth discussion of my play, please request one through PM as I don't want to effect the outcome of the game. I thought my vote was perfectly legitimate until I just checked the posts today. Regardless of whatever concerns I have with the modkill policy, however, the fact remains that I did break the rules and get modkilled, and there shouldn't be leniency given to anybody. However, as I have stated multiple times before, the banlist is very subjectively enforced. For instance, although I might be banned for a game, what would stop me from hosting one in due course? It seems rather silly for people to enforce a boycott of a mafia game because of something that really is fairly trivial. TLDR: No Warning: Give me the standard 1-Game Ban: I reserve the right to choose to enforce or not enforce said banlist: PM me if you wanted to know my gameplan: Make the modkill system more conducive to both player and host: P.S. L needs to die. P.P.S. ze

This game will not start before Friday. This is to give Insane time to end (or at least get close to ending), and me time to finish some things. At the rate we're going, should be full then, so we will be sending out role PMs Friday, time and signups permitting!

I'll say it now, not a fan of the assassin style 3rd party mechanic. I also wish the mayor/pardoner did not know the ID of the bodyguards...

The problem with bodyguards being invisible and random is that it makes the mayor essentially invulnerable until mafia gets lucky. The only alternative is to make the identity of the BGs public to everyone, which is a mechanic I really don't like. Glad you're back and playing though

Glad you're back and playing though If you make it so bg's don't know they are bg's you make it less likely for things to go wrong. I say this because if they know they are bgs, they can claim bg in thread, and if the elected mayor or pardoner backs them (or both in this case) your most likely left with two reds in office or two greens and a player who is 100% cleared and instantly gives town an edge up on town. If the player knows he or she is a bg, you should make it possible for mafia to infilitrate bg list as then there is the potential of a red hiding in bgs.

That's the purpose of both mayor and pardoner knowing the BG list Also, I think I said BGs will not be told of their duties? I'll check... I didn't specify, but I'm leaning towards BGs not knowing they are BGs.
