Many teams are looking into the alternative transportation such as rental cars, buses, or trains. Can I ask where your team is from? New York City. Seems flying from the metro area beats out land transportation in terms of cost per time traveled IMO. Trains/buses are ~18-20 H transit time, rental car maybe 14? Any suggestions?
This all depends on what you have more of, do you have more money or more time? If you've got time and love SC2, you might have to suffer the longer ride to the event.
Personally I think it's worth it and everyone has to make that choice for themselves.

Is there still room for more teams and if so did your team have to compete in the league to be eligible for this tournament. There is no team currently at my school but we are really close to Indy and there are a bunch of people who play SC2 here. We would really like to go to this if we could.

We are going to try to accommodate for as many teams as possible so I would recommend applying since we are trying to expand to more schools

Teams did not have to compete in any prior league to be eligible either.

We're driving, 596 miles away. Taking a van and taking turns driving lol. Gonna be one fun trip ~!

all spots are almost gone, all teams need to have some urgency if you are still trying to apply!
|
We will be releasing the lineup in the next few days.
It does look like we are going to have more than 20 teams, so if you still want to apply do so asap.
|
This is definitely gonna be fun!

Teams were sent an email tonight, if your team was contacted by myself, Kush Patel, and you have not received an email, please email collegiateesportsseries@gmail.com.

The teams have been announced at the website. Sorry we couldn't accept everyone, but definitely shaping up to be an incredible event!

Wait a second, is uOttawa the only Canadian school going to this thing?
If so, FUCKING RIGHT!
|
Yeah unfortunately not every team was accepted. We will definitely host this event again if feedback is good! Congrats to all the confirmed teams and we hope April rocks.

It says in the email that you need to fill out the app/email as soon as possible to ensure your spot. I'm guessing spots went quickly. I think my team was the first signed up Here comes a nice full day of driving.

Just curious, do you remember when your team received the invite?
