Nothing happens for the first half of the game. Literally nothing so I ask "how long u going to turtle?"
His response "When you learn to play smart."
Though I stopped playing 1v1's like 4 months ago, at my best I was ranked in the top 500 in USA according to sc2ranks.com. Not to say I'm infallible or anything, but I hardly thought anything I said warranted any kind of hostility at all.
Since I'm not a douche I say "okay whats the plan."
He says we'll slow push one of their expansions. I say fine and move my MMM ball into position. His tanks haven't moved at all. The protoss pushes my ball, I see his vikings nearby so I think okay i guess he's here and engage, lose almost all my force. He says some douchey thing like "see what happens when you play dumb?"
Cept I've always been a macro player. I have 10 raxes, 3 base pumpin tons of MMM and replenish my army quickly and end up wiping them out (not 1v2, he did help a bit to his credit).
One of the enemies leave and they're totally wiped on cash. This is when I realize the fuckin douche is killing my shit. Who the fuck does that? I seriously didn't even antagonize the guy. Well until after that
Dude I get that all the time. Its so annoying. And the loudest are usually the dumbest. I enjoyed 4v4s for awhile until I got sick of the one guy wanting to cheese and getting pissed because no one went along with it.
random 2v2s are well.... random. sometimes you get great allies who just wanna play a team game, sometimes you get drunk folks, sometimes you get nubs... you were unlucky and got a douchebag.
I suppose so. I kinda don't want to take the gamble anymore. I just wanted a shiny emblem next to my 2v2 column anyway. The reward's not good enough considering the risks. Iunno, I just needed to vent, and this is a blog, so I'm allowed to do that here.

i thought backstabbing was a reportable offense.
LOL NO WAY.
Please tell me backstabbing, like betraying your ally, is NOT a reportable offense, Please tell me this.

LMAO I did report it just to blow off some steam right after I left the game. I seriously didn't expect anything to come of it though, I didn't know Blizzard cared.
Lol that reminds, I was playing 4v4 random (true random, not the type where you play with 2 people that you know or anything like that) and I get drone rushed by a zerg ally. I was sadface
lol im totally gonna troll my next RT partner as described in the op
long time ago i had a teammate cannon rush me not realizing i was his ally....either because he was pissed or because he was as nubby as a noob can be he MANUALLY attacked my workers and nexus....i watched and at first typed out a "omg no please stop wrong base" but he messaged me first saying i deserve to lose cause im a noob and then he surrendered....always wanted to know what the hell happened...
On the contrary, thwarting backstabbers is the ultimate! You should only hope you find more games like this so you can recognize when this shit is happening. From there just play along with their game but be ready to flip the switch in a heartbeat. Making fools of backstabbers is fun.
And did I read that right? That backstabbing is something that is "reportable" in SC2? That seems pretty lame if it is true. 1v1 is Starcraft in its purest form. Team games are just for fun. And part of that fun is luring backstabbers into thinking you've fallen for their trap only to rebound and make a fool of them. I can't imagine playing a team game without it.
Blizzard seems to be making their games more kid friendly. Probably Diablo3 will be void of pk as well.
Not too long ago I came across some bud in silver - he had about 12 drones at the 8 minute mark. I decided at the start that I wanted to cannon rush one guy (it was placement matches :S). Needless to say, he got wiped. So now, I was plenty safe with my sentries on top of my ramp, so I just macro'd up (it was a 1v1 now that I had taken out one of them with cannons).
Now the fun part began. He had a drone alive and decided that if I sent him 300 minerals to build a hatchery, it would win us the game. I thought for about a quarter of a second and decided that 300 minerals would be much more effectively spent on building a colossus. So my silver friend got very upset with me and began to describe my army composition and the extent of my vision to the enemies. So eventually I moved out and rolled the zerg opponent with zealot/sentry/colossus. I sent my silver buddy his 300 minerals just as I was moving out.
I taunted him and he got very angry when the game was won. Good fun in random 2v2. Oh and cannon rushes are very fun :D
Yeah I could never play 2v2 random. I'd get too infuriated at people being all "OMG YOU'RE SO BAD WTF" when I try and play semi-properly instead of turtling and massing void rays.
4v4's are cool though. Mainly because as long as you don't play terribly, you can't really be blamed for anything. xD. I find 4v4's are a good way to just play sc2 without much pressure.
