Hey this is AllSalesFinal, Gambino 453 in game. Considering this is my first post I will just tell a little bit about my gaming history and myself.
First, I am 21 years old, live in Milwaukee, WI (Pack Attack super bowl 45 FTW!) I have been playing Starcraft 2 since it was released. I played 2 games in the beta, first one I lagged off the server, 2nd one I just lagged too much. I have bought a new computer since then and am FULLY enjoying Starcraft 2 and am a 3400 Masters League Terran. I played starcraft brood war back when it was almost always SlayerS_`BoxeR` versus [nc]...Yellow in just about every finals. I kept trying to become a much better player by watching literally 20-30 replays every single night before I went to sleep. It did not work. I was very poor at starcraft brood war, but it did not stop the love I had for it and its competitive scene. Warcraft 3 TFT was my game of choice for about 3 years and I was much more successful at that, never any big competitions though. I was also TERRIBLE at counter-strike 1.6. I was in a Cal-O team and our first round as terrorists was literally called "Bait Bino (my nickname)" It was a strategy where I would bum rush to a bombsite and draw fire while my skilled teammates killed the opponents and planted the bomb. When i left the team they ended up making it to Cal-M.
With my Starcraft 2, I hope to one day be on some sort of real strong team or be involved in eSports in any way, I do not care if it is just me stripping and waxing floors. i want to be a part of eSports in some way.
That is just my background in eSports/video games and my love for competitive video games.
I just wanted to take a little time out of my day and just say a big thank you to the sponsors of eSports, and more specifically, Starcraft 2. I think most of the people that visit this website daily love the competition that Starcraft 2 and other games have. Without sponsors, eSports would never have a fighting chance to become something serious in the eyes of people who do not even play the game. To us it is obvious that eSports is AMAZING, but to others, it may take the appeal of seeing that their favorite headphone company, for example, Sennheiser, sees something in it and may take a look. These sponsors all take a chance when they say they will sponsor a team, or event, or both. There are no guarantees that they will make profits or even their money back. But they see potential in this industry of eSports and actually took that chance.
I will always try to help their sponsorships pay off by buying products, if possible, ONLY from sponsors of eSports. And I even take the time out of my day to write the companies a letter or e-mail, whichever is more readily available, for feedback as to why I purchased the product. They do not know what brings you to them unless you tell them, and I personally feel it is immensely important to make sure these companies know that their sponsorships and involvement in eSports is bringing them business and they are felt more highly of because they are involved in the emergence of eSports.
I am not really sure what else to say, except that I hope eSports blows up into something amazing and huge in North America, Europe, and ALL parts of the world because it is such an exciting and enjoyable part of my life. It is like football season, entertaining and something to go out of my way to enjoy.
Lastly, I will say a thank you to the sponsors I can think of for eSports.
